Volunteer Opportunities at LMMS

Library
There are a variety of tasks that need to be done from shelving books to helping students locate books. In addition, we host two book fairs each year and an author visit. They are very flexible and will take your help whenever you might be available.

Book covering
Many of today’s textbooks are paperback. By covering these books, they last longer. After completing a short 1 hour orientation, this is an activity that can be done when your schedule permits.

Success team
A group of parents, administrators, and students, that meets monthly to plan activities that enhance and support our school.

Angel Network
We are a “giving network” linked by phone and e-mail and activated by student needs at LMMS. Receiver students or their families can ask the school for specific needs. These resources are obtained by the Angel Network Committee through our programs and volunteer Angel Givers on a contact list. The Angel Network works closely with LMMS Administration to provide requested resources both confidentially and equitably.

Classroom/Other
There is an occasional need for parents to help in a classroom or with grade specific activities. (activity nights, picnics, field day, etc.)

Field Trip Chaperones
Throughout the year, students take field trips that enhance curriculum. Volunteers are needed to chaperone students.
