Good afternoon Alburtis Families,
Our grade 3, 4 and 5 students will be taking the 2024 PSSA assessments during the weeks of April 22nd and April 29th.
We like to provide our testers with snacks and treats daily during the testing window. This helps avoid 'HANGRY' testers!
We are still in need of snack donations.
Thank you in advance for any donations you may be able to share with our Alburtis students. They are very thankful for the snacks each year!
Please click on the link below to donate. We will be accepting donations from now until April 19.
*Note: If you would like to donate Bananas please deliver to school on Monday, April 29.

Autism Acceptance Month
Today we encourage all students, teachers and staff to wear rainbow colors to show our commitment to Autism awareness and acceptance!
April is Autism Acceptance Month. Everyday, we work to create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community to live fully. We believe that acceptance is creating a world where everyone in the Autism community is connected to the support they need, when they need it. And by everyone, we mean every unique individual: the implacable, inimitable, and irreplaceable you.
According to The Autism Society of America, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD, or just Autism, capitalized) is a complex, lifelong developmental condition that typically appears during early childhood and can impact a person’s social skills, ability to communicate, ability to form and maintain relationships and behavioral self-regulation.
Across all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups about 1 in 36 U.S. children have been identified with Autism, with boys nearly four times as likely as girls to be identified, according to the CDC. There is no known single cause of Autism, but many factors are thought to contribute to its development, including environmental, genetics, preexisting conditions and abnormalities in brain structure.
