Art, both as process and product, is an essential and integral component in the quality of life. As a discipline, art embodies a wealth of universal ideas, values, feelings, and techonologies that have become a part of our civilization and heritage.

A strong art foundation builds creativity, conentration, problem-solving skills, self worth, coordination, and self discipline. A strong art foundation emphasizes art history, aesthetics and criticism. This comprehensive art foundation shall be an essential component of the educational program available to each student in Emmaus High School.
