333 Student-Athletes Named to Athletic Director's Honor Roll for 4th Rating Period   Link

NEW TRACK GETS LOGO INSTALLED
The final touch, the EHS Hornet Logo, was officially applied to the track today.  The 6 lane all-weather track was built this summer through the cooperative efforts of the EPSD and Rodale Inc and spearheaded by Bud Coates, Rodale's Director of Empoyee Fitness and Health.  The track is open to all citizens of the EPSD throughout the year, weather permitting.  For more information contact the EPSD Administrative Office at 610-966-8300.

TRACK TEAM SHAVES FOR CANCER
On April 23rd the track& field teams under the direction of Head Coach, Shannon Petrunak held our first St. Baldrick's Fundraiser for Childhood Cancer Researh.  Seventy shavees went bald for donations raising a staggering $24,340. 

                                   

BENDER AND KLIDONAS SELECTED TO ALL-STAR TEAM
Congratulations to seniors Mike Bender and Tate Klidonas for their selection to the 2010 All-EPSLA team.  The Eastern PA Scholastic Lacrosse Association is an group of lacrosse coaches throughout Eastern PA whose mission is to promote and grow the game of boys' lacrosse.   Until last year when the PIAA sanctioned boys' lacrosse, the association was responsible for organizing and conductiong the state playoff tournament. 
Mike and Tate join a select group of Eastern PA players in being recognized by the coaches for their play this season.  The full team will be posted on www.phillylacrosse.com.

EIGHT HORNETS SELECTED AS GIRLS' LACROSSE ALL-STARS
Caitlin Bryan, Angie DeBellis, and Meredith McNelis were honored at the 2010 LVGLL Championship Game as members of the all-league 1st team.  Selected to the 2nd team were Colleen Ehrig, Allison Haas, Katie Stewart and Megan Traub.  Nicole Schmidt earned 3rd team honors.

BOYS' & GIRLS' SOCCER TEAMS EARN
NATIONAL ACADEMIC AWARD!
Boys' and Girls' Soccer Teams Awarded NSCAA National Team Academic Award for the Sixth Consecutive Year.

GIRLS' CROSS COUNTRY SOLID GOLD!
Coach Dan Wessner's Hornets rallied to win their 4th conseuctive LVC Meet Championship along with their fourth consecutive District  XI 3A title.  However, their biggest achievement came in early November when they added the 2009 PIAA 3A Championship, thus beccoming one of first PA girls' teams to win 3 consecutive state  titles. 

FIELD HOCKEY CHAMPS AGAIN
Head Coach Sue Butz-Stavin had her Hornets peaking at the right time, again, as the Green and Gold won their 20th consecutive District XI 3A Championship via a 1-0 win over the Parkland Trojans.  In addition, the 2009 Edition celebrated the 50th Year of Emmaus Field Hockey with a sparkling 22-2 record winning their 19th conference championship in the last 20 years.  Along the way, Butz-Stavin was honored as the 2009 National Interscholastic Field Hockey Coach of the Year while recording her 700th Career Win.  Not to be outdone by her coach, Junior Allison Evans was named a Regional All-American, scored her 100th Career Goal and was selected to the USFH U-17 National Team.
