6th grade families who did NOT attend orientation

At orientation we found that many students who want to take band, chorus, and/or orchestra did not have their chosen ensemble on their schedule.  If you receive your child's schedule before school starts and your desired ensemble(s) is/are not on your child's schedule please contact the Guidance office before school starts to have the schedule corrected.  Thank you.

Schedule for the 1st cycle of 9th period rehearsals

Students will follow the schedule outlined below for the first cycle of rehearsals only.  After September 3 regular rehearsals will take place on days 3, 4, and 6.

Tuesday, August 26 day 2 –   All 6th grade band members will report to the band room.  Band members do not need their instruments on this day.

 

Wednesday, August 27 day 3 – All 6th grade chorus members will report to the auditorium 9th period for chorus.  All 7th and 8th grade band members will report to the band room 9th period for band.  6th grade band members not in chorus will remain in homeroom for this day 3 only.  7th and 8th grade band members do not need their instruments

 

Thursday, August 28 day 4 – All 6th grade chorus members will report to the auditorium 9th period for chorus.  All band members will report to the band room 9th period for band. Band members do not need their instruments.  If you are a 6th grader in both band and chorus you should report to band.  

 

Tuesday, September 2 – day 5 – no 9th period rehearsals

 

Wednesday, September 3 – day 6 – All 7th and 8th grade chorus members will report to the auditorium 9th period for chorus.  All band members will report to the band room 9th period for band.  If you are a 7th or 8th grader in both band and chorus you will report to chorus.  Band members will need their instruments.

Performance Dates for the 2014-2015 School Year

  • Friday, October 3 (2:00-9:30) - Middle School Band Night at Emmaus High School
  • Tuesday, December 16 (7:00 p.m.) - Winter Concert
  • Wednesday, April 29 (7:00 p.m.) - Spring Concert
  • Monday, May 25 (9:45-11:30 a.m.) - Performance for Memorial Day Service in Macungie Park
