1) Class Assignments All class work will be completed on a chapter by chapter basis with daily assignments. Topics will be listed on a handout (syllabus) along with the appropriate reading and homework assignments. All work must be completed before coming to class! All homework must be handed in on the day that it is due if I choose to collect it. NO late homework will be accepted! Late homework WILL result in a ZERO! Homework may be considered practice for tests and quizzes. 2) Methods Class time will be set aside for the purpose of discussing certain problems of a particular homework assignment. During this time questions may be asked; therefore, it is imperative that all assignments be prepared by the student before coming to class. Your textbook, class notebook, folder, and calculator must be brought to class every day. You will not be allowed to go to your locker during class time! 3) Grading Procedures All quizzes, tests, and labs will be graded on a point system. Homework will be collected on a random basis and will be counted for points. To arrive at your grade for a marking period you should take the total number of points that you earned and divide them by the total points possible and multiply by 100. I will provide an up-date at mid-quarter and the end of a marking period only! It is your responsibility to keep track of your own grade throughout the quarter. Each student will receive a progress report at the middle of each marking period. 4) Classroom Rules a) No talking while others are talking (teacher or other students). b) No talking when given time to work on classwork. c) No horseplay in class or lab. d) No eatting or drinking in class or lab. e) Follow all safety rules as discussed in class. f) Safety goggles MUST be worn whenever in lab. g) Raise hand to be recognized. h) Be respectful. i) All students must stay at assigned lab stations - NO SOCIALIZING! |
