1) Class Notebook              

A standard class notebook is required of every student. This notebook should be used for taking notes from lecture, problem solving sessions, class discussions, and reading assignments. Homework assignments should NOT be done in this notebook. Handouts and homework assignments should be kept in a separate folder.

2) Calculator               

Because the science of chemistry, as all sciences, requires many calculations, it is mandatory that you bring a calculator to class EVERY DAY!  Calculators may NOT be shared during tests and quizzes. A calculator simplifies calculations and makes them less time consuming. I can NOT provide a calculator if you forget yours! Your calculator should be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Other buttons that are needed are an EE or Exp button, a square root button, and a log button.
