Participate in The American Red Cross Club's Summer Reading Book Drive!
The American Red Cross Club is continuing their Summer Reading Book Drive for the FIFTH YEAR! During the month of October, students will be able to donate their used summer reading books in exchange for new summer reading books. For each book that you donate, you will receive a voucher from your English teacher that will allow you to select a book from next year's summer reading list.
Last year the American Red Cross Club collected and recycled over 1200 books that students donated to the cause, and 400 of those books were sent to the middle schools for the incoming freshmen class.
The initiative's objectives are to raise awareness regarding the summer reading program and to make books more available to East Penn School District students.
Any student from my classes who donates his/her used books to the book drive will also receive extra credit. See me for more details.
Congratulations on a successful Blood Drive on 11-9-11. 82 pints of blood were collected at Emmaus High School---246 lives will be saved by your contribution!
