I am originally from the Philadelphia suburb of Langhorne - most well known for Sesame Place (where I worked summers through high school and college). I graduated from Penn State University in 2006 after spending a year in the Professional Development School collaboration between the University and State College Area School District. I also spent a year teaching Kindergarten in Central Bucks before finding my home here in East Penn.

I received my Master's of Education from Kutztown University in 2009 and earned a certificate as a Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach. Currently, I am completing coursework for a principal certificate at Lehigh University.

This is my sixth year teaching in East Penn. I am so happy to be working here at Willow Lane. I love teaching fifth grade. It is such an exciting year for students and parents as we prepare for the transition to the middle school. In addition to teaching, I also serve as Willow Lane's Head Teacher and the District's Elementary Science Chairperson.

My husband and I had a daughter in July of 2009. We have so much fun watching her explore the world around her. I also like to read, make jewelry, picnic, play with technology, garden, and bake.

I am truly looking forward to working with you this year! I believe in a classroom environment where students learn through collaboration and exploration. Technology will be integrated often and through authentic means. My main goal for each child is to foster the desire to become a life-long-learner.
