Mrs. Vernon

My name is Mrs. Vernon and this is my eighth year teaching.  I graduated from Kutztown University in May of 2006 with a degree in Elementary Education.  I began my career in East Penn at Shoemaker teaching fifth grade.  After my first year, I moved to second grade where taught for the past six years.  I am excited to be teaching third grade this year!  I received my master’s degree in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University in May of 2012.  Teaching is my passion and I enjoy every day of work.

My husband and I have been married for six years! .  We have two sons, Evan who is three years old and Owen who was just born this past March. I absolutely love being thier mom.  Evan is very into super heros, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.  Owen is in love with his monkey blanket toy and we never leave home without it.

I am a HUGE Eagles fan, and although Mr. Vernon is in this picture with me, he is a  Cowboys fan. Frown Football season in my house is an interesting time!

However, Mr. Vernon and I are JUMBO Phillies fans and look forward to taking both boys to as many games as we can.

Mr. Vernon and I have a wonderful dog named Holly, which you will hear all about during the school year. Holly loves her brothers very much!

I have one sister.  My sister and my bother-in-law serve in the United States Air Force.  They spent their first three years stationed in Germany.  They were relocated to Georgia, which is where they will finish out their service. They have my beautiful neice Lillyanne who just turned two this August.

I look forward to a fun, entertaining, fullfilling, and successful 2013-2014 school year.
