HOMEWORK

Homework is very important.  When it is assigned, the due date for each assignment will be made clear to the students (and parents).  I will work hard to ensure that only appropriate amounts of work are assigned when necessary.

Reading is extremely important to elementary students. Reading for at least 20minutes a night is appropriate for all students at this age. Students will be expected to read their Accelerated Reading book (AR) once the AR program begins in late September.

I truly believe that reading is one of the most important things that students at this age can do to help them advance in their learning.

EXPECTATIONS FOR ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Written neatly in pencil (unless the assignment specifies otherwise).

2. Labeled with name at the top of the paper or on the front cover.

3. Paper does not have torn edges and is neat in appearance.

Generally, there are math assignments most nights. Math assignments will be given by individual math teachers, so they will vary.
