Who am I?

I am married with four children. Three boys and one girl. I live in Pennsburg and my children attend Upper Perkiomen School District.

What is my experience?

I graduated from Souderton Area High School in 1988 and then completed my BSE in Mathematics in 1993 from Millersville University. During my college breaks, I worked at Moyer Packing Company (Mopac) in the Telecommunications Department streamlining processes. After I graduated college I was hired full-time at Mopac in the Information Technology department.  I held various positions including Programmer and Systems Analyst.  When I left in 2004, I was a Senior Systems Analyst and Project Manager for the Beef Division.

Those years spent at Mopac I was responsilble for all activities pertaining to application development and software maintenace. My favorite applications were the Yields Performance Application and the Ground Beef Batch Application. All, of course, used math!

In 2005, I joined the teaching profession as a day-to-day substitute. I spent two years as a long-term substitute. One year with Upper Perkiomen High School and the other year at Perkiomen Valley Middle School. In 2008, I joined East Penn School District.

What do I like to do for fun?

In my spare time I run my children to their activities. I enjoy going to the gym, reading books, skiing, playing canasta, and crocheting (I try to make one afghan a year!).  I am a co-leader for a family and youth group also.
