A WORD OR TWO ABOUT HOMEWORK.....

Homework:  Students should be able to do most assignments independently but do help if necessary.  Please help your child work toward good study habits by setting up a designated time and place for homework.  It should not take your child longer than 40 minutes to complete his/her homework.  If it appears that your child is struggling with the homework assignments - I need to know IMMEDIATELY.  Homework is reviewed twice a day and students are required to use their homework planning/assignment books to record all homework assignments, test dates, and due dates for projects.  All questions with regard to homework are welcome and will receive an answer.

There are consequences if your child does not complete his/her homework.  The consequences are...

First missed assignment – A note is sent home and 5 minutes of recess will be taken away.

Second missed assignment – I will call home and 10 minutes of recess will be taken away.

Third missed assignment – A meeting is scheduled with the student, parent, and me and all of the recess time will be taken away.
