Preparing for 5th Grade

First and foremost- I want all of my students to enjoy their summer vacation!
We have worked hard this year, and we all deserve a break.
That being said, it is important that we don't slip backwards over the 2 month break.
At our spring conferences I spoke with all students and parents about the importance of continuing to read and write frequently over the summer.
*Make sure that you are reading books you enjoy over the summer.
*Write in your journal. You can write about anything you want to write about, as long as you keep writing! Look in the downloads section above to find journal topic ideas.
*Try a fun website like Penzu to keep an online journal
*Practice multiplication and division facts. IT IS EXPECTED THAT ALL 5TH GRADE STUDENTS HAVE QUICK RECALL OF THEIR MULTIPLICATION FACTS.
