Mrs. Sharkazy
Welcome back to Emmaus High School as we begin the school year 2010-2011.  American history students initially focus upon the presidency of Woodrow Wilson and discover his relevancy to today's world as he articulated the Federal Reserve Act and tried to steer the United States away from the violence of the Balkans.  Wilsonian democracy is an idea that is still important in American politics today.
AP Government students will begin the year by looking at characteristics of democracy and studying the constitutional underpinnings that shape the American democratic system of today.  And of course, we must look at the upcoming November elections and discuss their impact upon the current political climate.
I teach two different courses and I have made webpages for each one.  Each course has an introduction page as well as a page that contains current assignments.  I will also include links to textbooks and other sites that I think will be valuable.
     Have a great year!
