 Stra Snyder's Awesome Webpage!

Welcome to the website I'm NOT really going to use this year!!!!

Instead of maintaining both a website and Moodle, I have decided to just use Moodle. Use the link below:

MOODLE

Current Students: When you login you will see that you are enrolled in at least 2 Latin Classes.

  1. ALL Latin Classes - I will use this for announcements for all my classes.
  2. Your Level - I will put all your actual course work and resources here.
  3. Latin Club - I will have a seperate Moodle Course for Latin Club once we get started for the year.

Wanna-Be Students: If you missed out on Latin this year because it couldn't fit in your schedule or because we had too many students interested to accomodate everyone, you have 2 options:

  1. Independent Study - This is an official addition to your schedule. If you choose this option you work through all the material in the curriculum on your own. You can come to any practice sessions we have or see me if you need help with anything. You will have certain assignments to do, tests to take, and the midterm and final to take with the rest of my students. In order to start this process, you must first go to guidance as there will be paper work to do! Ask your guidance counselor to put it in your schedule as period 10, this will help me out!!!! Drop by 232, give me a call, or shoot me an email if you'd like more information on this option. I'm happy to help.
  2. Latin Club - Latin club is the really fun side of our program. Nothing is really for school credit at these functions. We just like to do different things that allow you to experience the ancient world whether it is eating special food, learning to cook that food, building or making things as they would, watching movies, taking field trips, or just promoting our language to the community. We have a lot of fun and this could be a really great way for you to be a part of the Latin program even though you didn't make it into the class this year. We had a HUGE amount of students last year and I want to top that this year so please pay attention to the morning announcements and my Latin Club Moodle for updates and announcements. You will be enrolled in that Moodle course upon paying dues to officially become a Latin Club Member. Dues are $5 for the 1st semester and $5 for the 2nd semester.
