Eyer Middle School wrapped up another successful present drive for the Coco Foundation. Over the last six years, Eyer has helped Coco Foundation collect gifts for kids battling cancer over the holiday season. The presents will be delivered to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and other regional children’s oncology units.
Eyer puts a unique spin on their present drive by encouraging participants to remove an item off of their holiday “wish list” and replace it with a gift that will go to a young cancer patient instead. You can also donate a present in the name of a loved one as a gift to that person. The names of all participants and honorees are posted on a bulletin board in the Eyer Cafeteria.
This year, several clubs at Emmaus High School helped Eyer collect even more gifts: the Pediatric Cancer Club, the SGA of Emmaus High School, and the Red Cross Club. We can’t express how grateful we are to all the students and advisers at the high school for helping us collect more gifts. We’re deeply moved by their support. It’s a wonderful thing to see kids paying it forward and doing good for others during the holiday season.
