The first Carbon Lehigh IU 21 Reading Competition was held at Lower Macungie MIddle School on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Twelve area schools sent seventeen teams for the first competition. Both East Penn middle schools sent teams to the competition.
The competition is compiled of three rounds of questions about the books. Students on the teams were required to read from a list of 45 titles throughout the year and answer questions in the rounds. Each team receives 20 questions in each round and has the option to answer the opposing teams questions if the team’s response is incorrect.
The top three teams received autographed copies of books on the list. The LMMS teams took first and third place this year. Chapter Raptors placed third and The Team Who Must Not Be Named placed first. Congratulations to our readers!
