Sebastian Mora will join 550 high school musicians from 49 states and territories for the National Association for Music Education’s (NAfME) 2018 All-National Honor Ensembles on November 25-28, 2018, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. The 550 students will perform in one the following ensembles – Jazz Ensemble, Mixed Choir, Guitar Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band. Sebastian will sing in the mixed choir, which has 240 vocalists.
Students were chosen through an audition process that begin in the fall of last year. Eligible students had to make it to the District, Regional, and All-State levels in order to qualify. They then competed against top students in every state for a spot in these national honor ensembles. Those who have been selected will be rehearsing a challenging repertoire in preparation for performing under the baton of some of the most prominent conductors in the United States.
Sebastian has qualified for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Festivals for the past three years. In addition, he has performed in the fall play and spring musicals every year since he was a freshman. Sebastian is also a member of the EHS National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
