We recognize that some of our East Penn students may have experienced trouble with school-issued devices and the inability to access specific online learning platforms and programs today such as Zoom. In an effort to increase student security, the district login process has recently been updated. You should have received a correspondence through Schoology(secondary) or SeeSaw(elementary) this weekend from your school building with the updated login instructions, which prompts students to login with their East Penn (@eastpennsd.org) username and password. We would like to take this opportunity to review these updated login instructions with parents to make this process smoother for everyone.
Please check Google classroom and /or SeeSaw to find the passcodes for your child’s Zoom meetings. Please have your child login to the Zoom app first and then click on the link that the teacher provided and enter the passcode.
How to Access Zoom on Chromebooks:
- Open Up Zoom App by clicking on the Launcher (o) in the dock.
- Go to Sign In and select your East Penn Google Account.
- Minimize the app (do not close), and open up Chrome Browser.
- Log into Schoology (eastpennsd.schoology.com) and navigate to your Course.
- Find the Zoom Link at the top of your course and click on it. You should be prompted to enter a password (which should be located on the teacher’s Schoology Page) and enter the Waiting Room.
**If you receive the following message, please click on the blue LEAVE button and sign in with your East Penn username and password.
If your attempts to login this morning were unsuccessful, please contact your student’s teacher, so they can adjust your student’s attendance and review missed classwork.
We understand that this new remote learning platform will be challenging at times and connectivity issues will arise as remote learners simultaneously log in across the country. We are thankful for the ways in which our families and staff have troubleshooted and persevered through the initial process. We are continuing to work to make this process seamless for our students, families, and staff. We can’t thank you enough for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate through these first few weeks.
