Mr. Nolan’s Alburtis Elementary second grade students had a project to make a positive difference in the world and two groups chose to help save the rain forest. The students ended up raising $103 selling student created bookmarks and folders. They included a letter with the donated money and received a personal letter back from the president and CEO of Rainforest Trust, Dr. Paul Salaman. Dr. Salaman asked for the pictures of the bookmarks that were sold, printed them, took a picture, and sent them back to the Alburtis students. This was such a great experience for everyone involved.
