Please see the information located on the red banner on the top of our website for full details. Below is the text of the call-out that was sent this evening to families:
Thank you very much for your patience, as well as your words of support and encouragement as our faculty & staff worked this week to prepare our building for students to safely return.
On Monday, November 12th, Emmaus High School students will come to school on a 3 hour delay. Students should report to their bus stops three hours later than normal on Monday ONLY. Students will go to all of their classes on Monday, but on an abbreviated schedule that is posted on our website. After Monday, we will resume with a normal schedule for all students. This message will provide you with some basic information about our return to school – but there is more detailed information available on the school’s main webpage.
Students will enter the building through the same entrances they have been accustomed to using (Pine St. and Auditorium/Locker Commons). They will report directly to HOMEROOM, which will begin promptly at 10:23. There will be no late arrival held on Monday and therefore, students with late arrival on their schedules must report directly to homeroom. PM LCTI students must also report to homeroom. The Academic Center, CAP and PM LCTI students will be departing to LCTI at 10:53 a.m. AM LCTI students will report to the auditorium for homeroom and thereafter, will report to study halls until the beginning of 6th period, where they will go to the cafeteria for lunch and will resume their normal schedules. Additional information regarding the schedules for LCTI students will be provided to all faculty and staff, and will be posted by all Grade Level Offices. Students who have DCO may sign-out through the counseling office and leave at their regularly scheduled time.
Students whose homerooms are inaccessible will report to the AUDITORIUM for homeroom. This includes those in homerooms 300 through 315, Room 501, and Rooms 504-510. Again, students in homerooms 300 through 315, Room 501, and Rooms 504-510 will report directly to the auditorium on arrival to school.
All students will receive a new temporary schedule during homeroom, as even if they do not have a scheduled class in the affected hallways, they may still have classroom changes. Students will also receive instructions from their homeroom teacher regarding how to navigate essential functions of the high school main/attendance office that have been temporarily relocated to other areas of the building.
More detailed information regarding the progress of the flood restoration project at our school and logistics associated with it will follow via email to those subscribed to our news alerts. For those not subscribed, it will also be posted on the high school and district main webpages.
Thank you and we look forward to welcoming students back to Emmaus High School on a three hour delay tomorrow.
