Dear Emmaus High School Students and Families,
It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself as the new Principal of
Emmaus High School. My passion for education and for the success of all students has
been shaped over the past 33 years as a science teacher, assistant principal, principal and
mother of 3 grown children. I have sought to ensure the success of each student, staff
member and the school by providing the best instructional environment possible. Similarly,
it is my number one priority at EHS to ensure that every student is safe, respected and
valued and of course receives the most challenging and well rounded education possible.
A challenging and well-rounded education means outstanding instruction from top-notch
teachers at all times, support from dedicated counselors, as well as extracurricular and
athletic opportunities that enable students to develop character, cultivate passions, and
explore the world outside of the classroom. As educators, we are committed to
demonstrating the relevance of the curriculum to the students’ everyday lives and
establishing positive relationships with our students as we maintain high academic
standards in all levels of our courses. Our school community provides a challenging and
exciting program of studies with high expectations, high support, and attainable goals. As
Principal, I am committed to ensure that each Emmaus High School student receives what
they need to succeed. This work is predicated on the principle that all students have the
capability to learn, grow, and succeed.
Most importantly, an excellent education is not possible without the great collaboration of
the entire EHS community. Over the past few weeks, I have had the privilege of getting to
know some of the amazing students, parents, and staff at EHS, while also learning about
the rich school history and many of its accomplishments. One of the greatest takeaways
from these conversations has been the immense enthusiasm and pride for our school and
community. It is through that same enthusiasm and pride that I look forward to becoming
an integral part of the community and working with each of you to continue the successes
of Emmaus High School.
It is such a privilege to be a member of the East Penn School District and I am excited for a
great school year ahead of us! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any
questions, concerns or ideas that you would like to discuss.
Have a great rest of the summer!
Beth Guarriello
