Want to make an impact in students&#8217; lives? EHS&#8217;s Field Study program in partnership with Kutztown University&nbsp;is offering a unique opportunity for students&nbsp;who plan to major in Education in college to get an early start on their coursework. Through the&nbsp;<strong>KU Early College Academy<\/strong>&nbsp;students can take college level Education courses at the university for college credit and receive EHS Field Study credit at the same time. If you are a current sophomore or junior and would like to learn more about this exciting program, please plan to attend an informational meeting in the&nbsp;<strong>MMR<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>Tuesday February 25th<\/strong>&nbsp;during&nbsp;<strong>Homeroom.<\/strong>&nbsp;Kutztown representatives will be on hand to review the program and answer&nbsp;questions. You may also contact the Field Study Coordinator, Mrs. Duffy, at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:kduffy@eastpennsd.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">kduffy@eastpennsd.org<\/a>&nbsp;with questions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Field Study<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Attention current sophomores and juniors: If you are interested in applying for the\u00a0<strong>Field Study<\/strong>\u00a0program for the 25-26 school year, please plan to attend one of two information\u00a0sessions that will take place prior to course registration. The sessions will be held during HR in MMR B on\u00a0<strong>Monday 2\/10 and Tuesday 2\/18<\/strong>. Details about the program and application\u00a0process will be reviewed. You can also access information on the Field Study <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/eastpennsd.org\/ehsfieldstudy\/ehs-field-study\">website<\/a>. Get a ticket for a free hotdog with purchase. And let&#8217;s support our wrestlers this season!&nbsp; Go to a match, snap a picture as proof and show our workers to get a free candy of your&nbsp;choice. Let&#8217;s GO HORNETS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>School Store is open&nbsp;Tuesday through Friday blocks 1-4 and closed during homeroom. Please drop off tabs in the container outside of room 216.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Habitat for Humanity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Habitat for Humanity will be selling Celsius drinks ($3) and donuts ($2) Thursday mornings before school in the HIVE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Learning Lab (LLAB)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The LLAB is a full-time academic support room located in the library that provides students with a dedicated space for special accommodation testing, make-up exams, retests and\/or academic assistance.&nbsp; Keri Crawford will coordinate with faculty, staff members and students to schedule time in the LLAB.&nbsp; Karen Sechler will assist with the administration of tests in the LLAB.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a student who needs to access the LLAB for testing or academic assistance, please complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/u\/0\/d\/16hG10Qcseq29KtuSTYb8D3KsOQkZY3QWCVlFFdmczYg\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LLAB Test Form<\/a>, attach the test and place them in the Learning Lab mailbox in the main office or drop it off in the LLAB.&nbsp; Copies of the test form can be found in the LLAB, the main office and on schoology.&nbsp; You can also email the completed form and test to Keri at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:kcrawford@eastpennsd.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">kcrawford@eastpennsd.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the form and test are received, Keri will contact the student, and an email will be sent to both the teacher and student confirming the date and time the test is scheduled.&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;Please remind them to check their school email.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Chromebook \/ IT Help<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 \u2013 10:55) and from 2 to 2:25 pm outside the library entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>**&nbsp;<u>Thursdays only<\/u>, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom,&nbsp;<u>ONLY AT 2-2:25PM&nbsp;<\/u>**<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>No Place for Hate<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are new to the building, No Place for Hate is a school program developed and monitored by the ADL.&nbsp;&nbsp; On the first Monday of every month, all faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in a casual day and wear a NPFH shirt.&nbsp;Shirts may be purchased in room 309 to participate on the first&nbsp; <strong>&nbsp;** The dates are:&nbsp; Monday: &nbsp;&nbsp;2\/3, 3\/3, 4\/7, 5\/8, 6\/2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Upcoming Dates:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a>1\/23\/2025-End of MP2<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/29\/2025-11:00 a.m. student dismissal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/31\/2025-EHS Coffee House 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2\/14\/2025-PD Day-No Students<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2\/17\/2025-School Closed-President\u2019s Day<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3\/8\/2025-SAT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KU Early College Academy Thinking about becoming a teacher?
