SnowCo Dance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The SnowCo Dance will be held on Saturday, February 22nd. Tickets\u00a0are on sale now during\u00a0lunches. $15 – cash only. For students who are not at EHS for lunch, head to the main office to purchase a ticket.\u00a0 Open to grades 9-12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STEM Trip<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Are you interested in a STEM trip to London and Paris?\u00a0 The trip will include various science-based tourist locations such as the Royal Observatory at Greenwich, London Science Museum, London Eye, Eiffel Tower, and a day at Disneyland Paris.\u00a0 The trip is scheduled for June 22-July 2 2026.\u00a0 Please contact Mr. Ohl in room 141 with any questions or stop by for an informational flyer about the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring Musical<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for EHS’s\u00a0Spring Musical,\u00a0Mamma Mia,<\/em>\u00a0are now available on the EHS website.\u00a0 Tickets are $12 for students and senior citizens, and $14 for adults. The show runs April\u00a02-5 at 7PM and April 5 and 6 at 2PM in the EHS auditorium. Get your tickets before we sell out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GIRLS SELF ESTEEM: <\/strong>This group will focus on developing healthier self-esteem, mental health, and peer relationships.  Students will work towards building self-esteem and self-awareness, challenge stereotypes and negative thoughts, and learn how to handle peer pressure and gossip. Wednesdays 8:30 – 9:15 Starting February 5th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BOYS EMPOWERMENT:  <\/strong>This group will focus on overcoming challenges, developing effective communication skills, building teamwork and collaboration skills, cultivating healthy relationships and setting long term goals.  Wednesdays 9:30 – 10:15 Starting February 5th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TEEN ISSUES: <\/strong>This group will focus on multiple topics: anxiety management, boundaries, depression, managing emotions, coping mechanism, self-advocacy, social media management, social stressors, etc.  Wednesdays 11:40 – 12:25 Starting February 5th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONFLICT RESOLUTION:  <\/strong>This group will focus on increasing students’ ability to manage anger effectively, identify sources of anger, resolve conflicts productively, and consider alternative solutions to a problem in order to experience more positive outcomes. Wednesdays 12:40 – 1:25 Starting February 5th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GRIEF\/LOSS:  <\/strong>Have you experienced the loss of someone close to you?  This group is an opportunity to gain support from peers going through similar experiences.  It is an opportunity to learn about and work through your own grieving process while being supported by people who can relate.  The group will focus on self-care, making sense of things, moving forward, and coping with the stress of your grief\/loss. Wednesdays 1:45 – 2:25 Starting February 5th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MINDFULNESS: <\/strong>This group will focus on understanding your brain and the science behind stress.  It will help you build self-awareness and learn how to effectively manage anxiety and stress.  It will focus on developing perspective and compassion for self and others. Tuesdays 1:40 – 2:25 pm Starting February 11th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LCTI<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LCTI applications are now open for next school year.\u00a0 Please see the purple Scheduling folder in your Schoology “Class of” account for more information and the link to the application. If you currently attend LCTI and plan to attend again next year, you do not need to complete a new application for next school year. The deadline for submitting LCTI applications for next year is March 1st.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KU Early College Academy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thinking about becoming a teacher<\/strong>? Want to make an impact in students’ lives? EHS’s Field Study program in partnership with Kutztown University\u00a0is offering a unique opportunity for students\u00a0who plan to major in Education in college to get an early start on their coursework. Through the\u00a0KU Early College Academy<\/strong>\u00a0students can take college level Education courses at the university for college credit and receive EHS Field Study credit at the same time. If you are a current sophomore or junior and would like to learn more about this exciting program, please plan to attend an informational meeting in the\u00a0MMR<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Tuesday February 25th<\/strong>\u00a0during\u00a0Homeroom.<\/strong>\u00a0Kutztown representatives will be on hand to review the program and answer\u00a0questions. You may also contact the Field Study Coordinator, Mrs. Duffy, at\u00a0kduffy@eastpennsd.org<\/a>\u00a0with questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Field Study<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Attention current sophomores and juniors: If you are interested in applying for the\u00a0Field Study<\/strong>\u00a0program for the 25-26 school year, please plan to attend one of two information\u00a0sessions that will take place prior to course registration. The sessions will be held during HR in MMR B on\u00a0Monday 2\/10 and Tuesday 2\/18<\/strong>. Details about the program and application\u00a0process will be reviewed. You can also access information on the Field Study<\/a> website. If you\u00a0have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Duffy at\u00a0kduffy@eastpennsd.org<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Counseling Resources – Please Take a Look!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The EHS School Counseling Office\u2019s YouTube channel has many informational videos on topics such as creating a resume, using Naviance, career and college exploration, the college search and application processes, and requesting transcripts, among many other topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EHS Red Cross Club<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Did you know that a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in the U.S.? EHS Red Cross Club is promoting Miller-Keystone Blood Donation Centers. If you donate blood and have proof, come to room 16 (Montepeque) for a bag of candy! Additionally, you\u2019ll get a T-shirt from Miller-Keystone at the donation site.  See the fliers posted around the school to scan the QR code for more information.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LVHN Cedar Crest (1255 S. Cedar Crest Boulevard Suite 1300 Allentown, PA 18103) takes blood donations every day except Sundays! If you are interested in donating blood<\/a> at this location, please schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peer Tutoring<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested in meeting with a tutor, please complete the 2024-25 Student Tutoring Request Form<\/a>.\u00a0 Peer Tutoring will be offered during HHR on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Library.\u00a0 Please visit your \u201cClass of\u201d Schoology Group for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After School Homework Help <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 2024). Teachers will be available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Taking advantage of this resource can make a significant difference in academic performance and overall confidence at school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. They are happy and excited to help students succeed in their classes for the remainder of the school year.  Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late\u00a0Bus<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sign up online using\u00a0the\u00a0Late\u00a0Bus\u00a0Google Form<\/a> in Schoology under\u00a0the Materials section<\/strong>\u00a0or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the\u00a0Late\u00a0Bus\u00a0post.\u00a0The\u00a0late\u00a0bus\u00a0will run Tuesdays and Thursdays\u00a0through the end of May<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chromebook \/ IT Help<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 \u2013 10:55) and from 2 to 2:25 pm outside the library entrance.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

** Thursdays only<\/u>, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom, ONLY AT 2-2:25PM <\/u>**<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
