FBLA&#8217;s (Future Business Leaders of America) <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/u\/0\/folders\/1S3gzORs0IQk0HHWLpkwi21xWXZPBFzVX\">Holiday Food Drive<\/a> will run from December 2\u201319. Drop off non-perishable items to Mr. Laird&#8217;s room 240 and help share some happiness this holiday.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shoe Drive<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you have gently used shoes gathering dust in your closet? Here\u2019s a simple, impactful way to declutter and support a local child\u2019s dream!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National Honor Society is hosting a Shoe Drive to help 5-year-old, Renna, a&nbsp;local&nbsp;special needs child, raise funds for her much-needed service dog. Students and staff are encouraged&nbsp;to participate! This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. For more information, including what we\u2019ll see and do, trip costs, and how to secure a spot on this trip, please reach out to Mrs Kinzel\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:skinzel@eastpennsd.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">skinzel@eastpennsd.org<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Academic Support for All Students<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teachers and some students are available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.\u00a0\u00a0 If needed, there is a late bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15. If students need to utilize the late bus, they must sign up on this form LATE BUS SIGN UPS before 10 am on the day they need to take the bus. We hope our students take advantage of this great opportunity to help them succeed academically at EHS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bus Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If a student is riding home on another student&#8217;s bus, both students must have a parent note granting permission. The parent note needs to include both students&#8217; names, the bus number, and the date on which they will be riding together. There must also be a parent&#8217;s signature on each note. Together, first thing in the morning, both students must go to one of their AP offices for approval.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All students who ride the bus must promptly report to the bus platform when the bell rings at 2:25 PM. If you miss your bus at the end of the day, buses will not be called back to pick you up. You will be responsible for your own transportation home once buses depart from EHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Late Bus<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4.&nbsp; You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sign up online using the<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/DBd2CWw1oUAJvan4A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;&nbsp;Late Bus Sign Up<\/a>&nbsp;in Schoology under&nbsp;<strong>the Materials section<\/strong>&nbsp;or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays&nbsp;<strong>through the end of May<\/strong>.<strong>&nbsp; The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 10:30am deadline**<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Chromebook \/ IT Help<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Hornet Homeroom (10:18 \u2013 10:55) and from 2 to 2:30 pm outside the library entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>**&nbsp;<u>Mondays only<\/u>, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom,&nbsp;<u>ONLY AT 2-2:30PM&nbsp;<\/u>**<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CLUBS:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tentative meeting schedule until the Christmas holiday break,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturday December 13th&#8211;10:00am to 2:00pm&#8211;Macungie Holiday Event&#8211;Please consider as they are looking for approximately 150 volunteers and it&#8217;s a great opportunity for volunteer&nbsp;hours.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday December 16th&#8211;2:30pm Officers will be starting the meeting and I should be there for 3:30pm. Full Member Meeting. Last meeting before Christmas break. Brief agenda, discussion about past due dues, and what that means as a member in good standing and upcoming officer positions for the February\/March election. Plan for your transportation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Global Citizens Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday, December 18 (gingerbread-making!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After school in room 13\/Mrs. Kita&#8217;s room, 2:30-3:15<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember to sign up for the late bus as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make new friends from near and far. Actively contribute to a more connected world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Schoology code:&nbsp;<strong>DCGM-QKFN-JF7D5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bible Study<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We meet Wednesday mornings in Room 254 from 6:45-7:10am (you can enter through the counseling doors) and Thursday afternoons in Room 229 from 2:30-3:15pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SAT Prep<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The math club will be offering SAT Prep for all EHS students interested in working on their SAT &amp; PSAT test taking skills.&nbsp; SAT Prep will be offered every Friday during homeroom in the MMR.&nbsp; If interested, please join the Schoology group&nbsp;<strong>QPVB-R6P5-VTM9B&nbsp;<\/strong>and then register to attend on the schoology group page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interact Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Interact Club will continue to collect soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.&nbsp;Tabs can be dropped&nbsp;off outside of 216.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Habitat for Humanity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Habitat for Humanity will be selling donuts for $2 and Celsius for $3 before\u00a0school in the HIVE Thursday mornings.
