We currently have over 130 colleges, military, trade school and apprenticeship representatives scheduled to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Global Citizens Gear<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is that time of year! Ready to purchase your 2026 Global Citizens gear? This year we&#8217;ve got t-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, hoodies, AND&nbsp;<strong>STICKERS<\/strong>! This year&#8217;s theme is &#8220;Kindness Speaks all Languages&#8221;. Use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfe5udK7QX5a0sB4L3Y-useymFhm7Lzy6v53MRlmE7mk2VXoQ\/viewform?usp=dialog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online form<\/a>&nbsp;to place your order now through April 21.&nbsp; Sales are pre-order only.&nbsp;Don&#8217;t miss your chance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Day of Silence<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Day of (NO) Silence is a national student-led demonstration involving LGBTQ+ students and allies all around the country\u2014and the world in order to take a stand against the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools. This year, the Day of Silence will be held on Friday, April 10th. Anyone can participate by wearing all black, representing how the struggles of LGBTQ+ people are put into the shadows. Participants can learn more information by attending No Place for Hate\u2019s pre-demonstration meeting on Tuesday, April 7th in room 309.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone is welcome to participate, and more information and resources can be found at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glsen.org\/day-of-silence\">glsen.org\/day-of-silence<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stop by room 309, the week of 4\/7 for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions, or would like to share your experience- please contact members of No Place for Hate on our Schoology course- Access Code WH9X-WT4G-36T9Q, or attend one of our after-school meetings<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Senior Ball<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Senior Ball will be held on Friday, May 8th at the Palace Center in Allentown.\u00a0 Tickets will be sold online from March 30th thru April 23rd.\u00a0 All guest forms are due by April 8th.\u00a0 Cash sales will be held in room 308 from 2:30-3:00 on 4\/14 &amp; 4\/21.\u00a0 Please see your Class of 26 Schoology page for further details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ACT Cancelled at EHS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ACT has made the decision to consolidate testing centers for the April 11th administration and EHS will no longer be available as a testing center. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please reach out to ACT with any questions or concerns;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.act.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.act.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) &#8211;\u00a0April 22, 2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Any students in grades 10-12 who are interested in pursuing a career in the military or interested in finding out more about potential careers should take the ASVAB. Please complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSegyWMhc8UP-qf-udkiZiusOzhs2Syk4I4kDVpjf6b_Ju9gfg\/viewform?usp=publish-editor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">April 2026\u00a0ASVAB Test Registration<\/a>\u00a0if you are interested in signing up for the ASVAB test.\u00a0 The registration needs to be completed by\u00a0April 10th. If you have any questions, you can reach out to your Counselor or\u00a0Mrs. Wood.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>East Penn Therapy Dogs Fundraiser<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NEW EAST PENN THERAPY DOGS STORE-SHOP OUR <a href=\"https:\/\/eastpenntherapydogs.printful.me\/\">STORE<\/a> &amp; SUPPORT OUR THERAPY DOGS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for helping kick off our community-wide Therapy Dog campaign through your apparel purchase! Once your gear arrives, please help spread the word by sharing a photo or short video wearing your apparel. Dayne Buttafuoco is also happy to stop by to capture photos or video if helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Early purchases help build momentum for our Therapy Dog program. A sale will be offered in the coming weeks for families who may need a more affordable option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re also planning a district-wide Therapy Dog Day on April 30 in recognition of National Therapy Dog Day. More details coming soon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Red Cross<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you know that a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in the U.S.?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EHS Red Cross Club will be sponsoring a blood drive at Miller-Keystone Blood Centers from November 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.&nbsp; Our goal&nbsp;is to donate 100 units. Students and staff are encouraged&nbsp;to participate! After donating, bring your proof to room 016 and you&#8217;ll receive a goodie bag!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schedule your appointment by calling 800-223-6667 and mentioning&nbsp;<strong><u>Group ID 3345<\/u><\/strong>, or visit&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/giveapint.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GIVEaPINT.org<\/a>&nbsp;and include<strong><u>&nbsp;Group ID 3345<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;in the notes section of the form, or scan the QR code found in fliers around school.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nearest donation center is located at:&nbsp;1255 S. This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. For more information, including what we\u2019ll see and do, trip costs, and how to secure a spot on this trip, please reach out to Mrs. Kinzel\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:skinzel@eastpennsd.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">skinzel@eastpennsd.org<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Academic Support for All Students<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>EHS is offering free after-school help twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teachers and some students are available to help with homework, studying for exams, or improving the understanding of course material. Teachers will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -3:30 in the EHS library. Students do NOT need to sign up in advance. They just need to come to the library at 2:30 and make sure they have transportation home at 3:30.\u00a0\u00a0 If needed, there is a late bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15. If students need to utilize the late bus, they must sign up on this form LATE BUS SIGN UPS before 10 am on the day they need to take the bus. We hope our students take advantage of this great opportunity to help them succeed academically at EHS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bus Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If a student is riding home on another student&#8217;s bus, both students must have a parent note granting permission. The parent note needs to include both students&#8217; names, the bus number, and the date on which they will be riding together. There must also be a parent&#8217;s signature on each note. Together, first thing in the morning, both students must go to one of their AP offices for approval.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All students who ride the bus must promptly report to the bus platform when the bell rings at 2:25 PM. If you miss your bus at the end of the day, buses will not be called back to pick you up. You will be responsible for your own transportation home once buses depart from EHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Late Bus<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4.&nbsp; You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sign up online using the<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/DBd2CWw1oUAJvan4A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;&nbsp;Late Bus Sign Up<\/a>&nbsp;in Schoology under&nbsp;<strong>the Materials section<\/strong>&nbsp;or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays&nbsp;<strong>through the end of May<\/strong>.<strong>&nbsp; The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 10:30am deadline**<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Chromebook \/ IT Help<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The IT department will hold Chromebook support for students during Homeroom (10:00-11:00) and from 2 to 2:30 pm outside the library entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>**&nbsp;<u>Mondays only<\/u>, there will be NO tech support during Hornet homeroom,&nbsp;<u>ONLY AT 2-2:30PM&nbsp;<\/u>**<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CLUBS:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No Place for Hate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No Place for Hate members and friends:&nbsp; Permission slips for the Salem, MA field trip on April 28 and 29 are available in room 309 and due by Thursday the 26!&nbsp; Payment is due at the end of March.&nbsp; Reserve a limited spot on the trip ASAP!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meetings will take place on 4\/14,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bible Study<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We meet Wednesday mornings in Room 254 from 6:45-7:10am (you can enter through the counseling doors) and Thursday afternoons in Room 226 from 2:30-3:15pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SAT Prep<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The math club will be offering SAT Prep for all EHS students interested in working on their SAT &amp; PSAT test taking skills.&nbsp; SAT Prep will be offered every Friday during homeroom in the MMR.&nbsp; If interested, please join the Schoology group&nbsp;<strong>QPVB-R6P5-VTM9B&nbsp;<\/strong>and then register to attend on the schoology group page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interact Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Interact club is excited to announce the start of the Operation giggles toy drive! We are collecting any new or unused toys starting now until April 15 and will be donating them to the Lehigh Valley Riley Children&#8217;s Hospital. There will be boxes that you can drop the toys off at by Mrs. Kaunitz\u2019s room 216. This is a great opportunity to donate and repurpose your lightly used or new books to the book drive!
