Information has been posted on your &#8220;Class of&#8221; Schoology page for those who would like to\u00a0learn more. Applications are due by October 6th to Mrs. Frantzen or Mrs. Simpkins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Principal Advisory Meeting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good morning, Hornets! Welcome again to a new school year!&nbsp; &nbsp;For those students new&nbsp;to EHS, we would like to invite you&nbsp;<strong><em>and everyone&nbsp;else&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>to participate in our monthly Principal Advisory Meetings. All are welcome, and the first 40 students to sign up will receive an email pass to attend.&nbsp; As we explained in our class meetings, we use these meetings to discuss ideas and suggestions to improve our school for everyone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first principal advisory meeting will be held on Friday,&nbsp;9\/25, from 10:30 am to 11:30 AM in the MMR.&nbsp; This is a B Day, and you will miss part of block 3 class and homeroom, so please check your schedule and speak with your teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you would like to participate in this meeting, please sign up using the form below. They will now be held on Tuesday, September 15th in room 141.\u00a0 See Mr. Ohl or Herr Bisignani with any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PSAT\/NMSQT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PSATs will be offered on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 8: 00am.The exam will take approximately 2-\u00bd hours. If you require accommodations for the PSAT, you will need to reach out to your Counselor immediately so that it can be submitted to the College Board for consideration. Any accommodations that you may have here at EHS do not automatically apply to PSAT\/SAT\/AP exams through the College Board; you <strong><u>must<\/u><\/strong> submit a request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you would like to sign up for the PSAT, please complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfAKtQBfcSqELgb6fICrax9PUC6k3UujAl1UQDbqBVhvXGu4w\/viewform?usp=header\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2026-27 PSAT Registration Form<\/a>, which can also be found in your \u201cClass of\u201d Schoology Group, by October 2nd; this form must be completed by the student using their EPSD account.\u00a0 The cost of the PSAT is $30.00.\u00a0 Payments in the form of cash or check made payable to EHS, should be dropped off to Mrs. Lucchesi-Wood in Room 272.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PSAT registration deadline is Friday, October 2nd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) &#8211; October 20, 2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any students in grades 10-12 who are interested in finding out more about potential careers, in pursuing a career in the military, or meeting your ACT 158 graduation requirement, should consider taking the ASVAB.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please complete the<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSezDWHYyFeMkRegOxsQuRHPH9I8HKXM0cId_uJhzJBiIQ48aQ\/viewform?usp=header\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> October 2026 ASVAB Test Registration Form<\/a> if you are interested in signing up for the ASVAB test.&nbsp; The registration needs to be completed by <strong>October 13th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have any questions, you can reach out to Mrs. Lucchesi-Wood or your Counselor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An unforgettable adventure in Italy &amp; Greece!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re thrilled to share that an Emmaus High School group is heading to Italy &amp; Greece in June 2027, and we\u2019d love for you to join us! The recruiters will be set up between Cafe 1 and Cafe 2 for the duration of Block 3 on the following recurring weekdays each month:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Army &#8211; 1st Thursday of the month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marine Corps &#8211; 1st Wednesday of the month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Air Force &#8211; 2nd Tuesday of the month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Navy &#8211; 1st Tuesday of the month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Army National Guard \u2013&nbsp;2nd Wednesday of the month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coast Guard \u2013&nbsp;3rd Monday of the month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are interested in speaking with any of the recruiters, please visit their table set up during your lunch period. If you have any further questions, please reach out to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:jdurnin@eastpennsd.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mrs. Jessica Durnin<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Late Bus<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. The bus picks up around 3:15pm at door #4.&nbsp; You may only use the late bus for clubs or detention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sign up online using the<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/DBd2CWw1oUAJvan4A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;&nbsp;Late Bus Sign Up<\/a>&nbsp;in Schoology under&nbsp;<strong>the Materials section<\/strong>&nbsp;or on the EHS website under Morning Announcements, there is a link under the Late Bus post. The late bus will run Tuesdays and Thursdays&nbsp;<strong>through the end of May<\/strong>.<strong>&nbsp; The form will only accept responses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:23am until the 11:30am deadline**<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Athletics<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Home Football Game Reminder<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Re-entry to the stadium is not permitted. Once you leave the stadium you may not return without paying another entry fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CLUBS:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Debate Team<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The debate team will hold its official meeting on Monday Sept 14 after school in room 220. If you missed last week&#8217;s meeting this is the last chance&nbsp;to sign up in order to compete in this year&#8217;s season. Contact Mrs. Espenshade for questions.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No Place for Hate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No Place for Hate&nbsp;will meet after school on Monday 9\/14, in room 309 until 3:00.
