It is our pleasure to share with you the Eyer Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society student-selection process and time frame. Current 7th grade students will complete their academic year in June 2018, and over the summer, NJHS advisors will analyze both their cumulative GPA (from 6th and 7th grade) and their behavior/citizenship during their time at Eyer Middle School. Students who have earned a cumulative GPA 3.6 or above, and who have demonstrated outstanding behavior/citizenship, will receive an invitation to apply for the 2018-2019 National Junior Honor Society. The “invitation to apply” letter will be distributed during the first week of their 8th grade year. The application process will be explained to student nominees, and if accepted, they will be notified by September 17th. An induction ceremony for new NJHS members will be held at Eyer on September 27th, at 7pm. The selected NJHS members will then assume their leadership roles as peer tutors/math lab assistants during 9th period study hall, as their schedule permit. We look forward to the selection of the next round of young leaders into NJHS.
