Student Announcement: Please pay attention to the morning announcements as there will be important information you will need.
All absence notes and early dismissal notes should be taken to the cafeteria. Look for Mr. Willett or Mrs. Patch to turn in your note(s). If you need a bus pass, please see Mr. Willett or Mrs. Patch the cafeteria for with your parent notes. Remember, you must have a note from both students’ parents in order to obtain a bus pass.
Very Important Announcement- In order to stay for after school activities on Tuesdays and Thursday you must sign up for the late bus by 10:00 AM on your Chrome books through Clever. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are not signed up by 10:00 AM you will not be allowed to stay for clubs unless you have another ride home. We can no longer allow late sign ups after the 10 AM deadline. Please plan accordingly. STUDENTS ARE NOW ABLE TO SIGN UP FROM THEIR OWN CHROMEBOOK DURING HOMEROOM THROUGH THE END OF 3RD PERIOD. You just need to look for your name at the drop box and type in the club you are staying for. Students CANNOT sign up for the late bus after 3rd period. NO EXCEPTIONS! If you did not sign up for the late bus, please remember to have your ride pick you up in the bus parking lot, NOT THE MAIN ENTRANCE on club days..
Reminder- if you have lost keys, electronic devices, jewelry, headphones, or anything else which has a high value please stop by the Main office to see if it was turned in. We do not put higher value items in the standard lost and found table in the commons.
The school store is now open during homeroom, lunches and ninth period on Tuesdays and Thursday.
Hey There Eyer Students and Families!
There are a lot of ways to give this holiday season if you can. Two great ways to give at Eyer include the Holiday Present Drive for the Coco Foundation and the Giving Tree. The present drive to collects gifts for kids and teens in local hospitals who are undergoing cancer treatment. Visit the Holiday Present Drive link on the Eyer website to find out more. The Giving Tree supports Eyer families that are facing financial hardship this holiday season. Please stop by or call the guidance office to find out what gifts are most needed.
Kid Citizens Club is also looking for talented students to perform during the International Fair at Emmaus High School on Saturday February 29th. If you sing, dance or play a musical instrument, or would like to make a presentation on a country, consider taking part in this event. Please see Señora Kannenberg in room 630 or Frau M. in room 632 for more information.
EPSD and STA are joining forces this holiday season! There will be a ” Stuff the Bus” event at Eyer on December 9th and 10th. Please consider donating hats, scarves, gloves, coats, and other cold weather related items on these days. STA will provide a bus at Eyer on these days to place your donations. The Emmaus High School Boys’ Basketball Teams will be holding a Skills and Drills Clinic on December 21st from 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the EHS gym.Registration forms and more information are available outside Room 505.
December Literary Lunch sign-ups are now open for all grade levels in the LMC! Join Mrs. Magro & Mrs. Batz to eat lunch in the library and enjoy free dessert while sharing a book that has an awesome ending.
Next week, Hour of Code is celebrated globally. We will hold special Hour of Code activities with our EPSD Technology Integration Specialists in the LMC during 9th periods on Tuesday, December 10th and Thursday, December 12th. Sign-ups are limited to 30 students each day. Please visit the LMC to sign up or email Mrs. Magro if you would like to participate. Please do not sign up if you have other 9th period commitments.
The next meeting of the Eyer GSA will take place after school on Tuesday, December 10th until 4:00 in the LMC. LGBTQ+ students and allies are welcome to attend, and new members are always welcome. We will be making a take-home craft. We will also meet during 9th period on Thursday, December 19th in the LMC for a winter party with refreshments and more crafting! German Club will meet again on Thursday, Dec. 12th after school in 632 with Frau M. Get ready for our annual Gingerbread House-making contest!
Club participants: If you didn’t get a chance or remember to pick up a kit over Thanksgiving break, now’s the time to do so. Plan on creating in groups of 2-3. Also consider bringing extra candy and icing to decorate! Refreshments provided by Frau M. Bis bald (and think gingerbread!)
Congrats to the Eyer Girls on the Run team who ran their 5K this past Saturday at DeSales University. Sixth grader Mady McCartney took first place! This run included many schools from all over the Lehigh Valley. Wonderful job ladies! Coach Navitsky is very proud of all of you!
Just a reminder to students: If you put in a student service request for your chrome book, you need to bring your Chromebook to the LMC so the Chromebook can be looked at and repaired. You can also sign out a loaner chrome book at that time.
