Can you find the stash?
It seems like a typical teenager’s bedroom, but look more closely and what you find will shock you. What looks like an ordinary item, such as a water bottle or hairbrush, may actually be a “diversion safe,” used to stash drugs and drug-related paraphernalia. These containers are easily purchased online and at local retailers. This interactive experience challenges parents and caregivers to try to find more than 100 hidden items, including:
- Mock drugs/ Drug paraphernalia
- Seemingly real containers that are actually “Stash Safes”
- Common household items that can indicate abuse
“Oh my gosh! I never would have thought…!”
“The community needs this now more than ever.”
“I am so glad I went in there… now I know!”
-Parents who viewed the bedroom in June 2018
