Good evening, this is Mr. Kelly, Principal of Eyer Middle School with a few important announcements for the first week of school. Tomorrow, August 31st, is the first day of school. Students whose last names begin with the letters A-K, and who signed up for the hybrid model, will attend Eyer in-person, on Monday and Tuesday, from 7:25-11am. Then, on Wednesday and Thursday, these students will complete online activities assigned in Schoology.
Hybrid students with last names that start with L-Z will complete online activities in Schoology, at home on Monday and Tuesday. Those students will then attend Eyer, in-person, on Wednesday and Thursday from 7:25-11am.
Students who signed up for the Remote Only learning model will work from home all week, completing all of the “First Week of School” activities for each course, in Schoology. Please be sure to complete these assignments, as they will count toward attendance and participation for the week.
An additional reminder, students should check their schedule prior to coming to school, as some scheduled were updated last week. Students should make sure they know their homeroom and bus number for the first day of school. When arriving at school in the morning, sixth-grade students will be directed to line-up outside with their homeroom teacher. Seventh and eighth-grade students will report directly to their homeroom when they arrive at school in the morning.
If you have any questions, there are many helpful resources on the Eyer webpage. We look forward to a great start to the school year. Thank you, and have a good evening.
