Ms. Scheuer and Miss Nguyen recently combined their Reading Seminar Classes for a Positivity Project Lesson where the students collaborated to create a playlist featuring songs that embody the various character traits being studied during school year. Such a great way to reflect on and showcase the character traits being studied. #OneEyer #EastPennPROUD #PosProject

Yesterday, we concluded the Makayla's Voice Program with its final presentation, which was designed to be sensory-friendly and served multiple purposes. Firstly, we unveiled the Kaya’s Kaleidoscope community art project that our Best Buddy Pairs collaborated on earlier this school year, sharing it with our student body. This student-crafted art installation will soon adorn our school building, symbolizing the teamwork displayed by the pairs. Following this, Superintendent Kristen Campbell conducted a public reading of the book "High Fives and a Big Heart," emphasizing the importance of forming friendships while not focusing on a students specific disabilities, particularly those with Down Syndrome. This message held special significance in with today being World Down Syndrome Day. Finally, we took the opportunity to recognize all of the students participating in our Best Buddies program and acknowledged their efforts learning and growing alongside one another and helping to improve our school community. This event not only celebrated inclusivity but also demonstrated our commitment to supporting and uplifting all of our students. #OneEyer #EastPennPROUD
