It is Friday, September 5th, 2025.<\/strong> It is Day 2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8th Grade Art Contest<\/strong> &#8211; The Baum School of Art is offering a free ten week scholarship to four 8th graders here at Eyer.\u00a0 If interested, please see Mr. Willett in room 222<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eyer Attire Sale<\/strong> &#8211; Eyer PTO drip drop! The annual online Spiritwear Sale is live The PTO has leveled up the designs this year, so peep the fresh fits and rep Eyer with style. Every purchase = support for PTO programming + major school pride. Don\u2019t sleep on it! The order link can be found on the daily announcements page \ud83d\udc40 \ud83d\udc49 https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/6vrxvs32.  <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fall Play Cast <\/strong>&#8211; The first two rehearsals will be Sept 9 &amp; 11th after school until 4pm in the auditorium.\u00a0 There will be a late bus available those days if you need transportation home.\u00a0It is VERY IMPORTANT that you attend both of these rehearsals. Looking forward to seeing all of you soon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>School Picture Day<\/strong> &#8211; School Picture Day is scheduled for <strong>today<\/strong>, Friday, September 5th. Families who wish to purchase a picture package may do so online through the<a href=\"https:\/\/orders.christmascitystudio.com\/Login.aspx\">\u00a0Christmas City Studio Website\u00a0using the School Code &#8211; Eyer25.<\/a> Paper order flyers will be distributed to all students in Homeroom during the first week of school. A digital copy of the Picture Day Form is also available via the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1vvILAhY5YoWffm38c2GQ8nedbv-Fhe8b\/view\">Christmas City Photos Link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hispanic Heritage Month Guacamole Workshop<\/strong> &#8211; Mr. Solano will be hosting a hands-on cooking experience on October 7th during 9th Period, where interested students will learn how to make their own fresh guacamole! \ud83e\udd51 Guided by the owner and head chef of Lu Taqueria in Bethlehem, participants will explore the ingredients, techniques, and rich flavors behind this classic dish. Space is limited, students who would like to participate should sign up in the Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Library Advisory Board<\/strong> &#8211; Looking for a way to get involved and shape your school&#8217;s library? Join the Library Advisory Board, a student-led group that works with the school librarian to make the library a special place. If you&#8217;re interested in joining, please see Mr. Solano in the library for an application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lions Club Peace Poster Art Contest <\/strong>&#8211; The Eyer Art Department is proud to announce the annual Peace Poster Contest.\u00a0 Each entry must convey symbols of peace and what\u00a0peace means to you.\u00a0 The winner of this contest gets $100 and a free dinner for their family.\u00a0 If interested, please see Mr. Willett in room 222.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STEM in the Library Activity<\/strong> &#8211; Join Mr. Solano in the Library for an exciting hands-on science experiment with local scientist Brooke Coonrod on October 10th during 9th Period! \ud83d\udd2c Students will discover how everyday items, like a potato, can create electricity to power a light bulb or even a small propeller. This fun, interactive activity is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about chemical reactions. Space is limited, students who would like to participate should sign up in the Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chess Club<\/strong> &#8211; We are starting the Chess Club soon! Join us if you love chess and want to play or learn how to.\u00a0 All levels welcome! We will meet on Thursdays\u00a0after school, starting next week on September 11th. Space is limited, so if you are interested or\u00a0have any questions, see Mrs. Mendez in room 650 and sign up. We look forward to seeing you there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Crochet Club<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0Learn the art of crochet in a fun, welcoming space after school on\u00a0Tuesdays starting September 16th. Whether you\u2019re a beginner or already know a few stitches, you\u2019ll create projects you can be proud of. To join, pick up a permission slip in the Guidance Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Four Square Club<\/strong> &#8211; The Eyer Four Square Club will begin meeting after school on Thursdays, starting September 11th (weather permitting). \ud83c\udf1f Spaces are limited, so be sure to sign up with Mrs. Gaines in the Main Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jazz Band<\/strong> &#8211; The Eyer Jazz Band is a performance group that plays Jazz Music.\u00a0 Instruments in a Jazz Band are:\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Saxophones, Trumpets, Trombones, Baritones, Tuba, Drum Set, Piano, Bass, and Electric Guitar<\/strong>.\u00a0 Students interested in playing drum set, piano, bass, or guitar must have experience on those instruments, must take private lessons on those instruments, and must audition to be in the group.\u00a0 Rehearsals are mostly\u00a0<strong>Tuesdays\u00a0<\/strong>after school until 4:00 p.m. September 23 through early May.\u00a0 If you are interested in being a member of the Jazz Band, please go to the band room (room 316) to read the information and put your name on the sign-up sheet.\u00a0 You have through the end of the day on Thursday, September 11 to sign up. See Miss England with any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Kid to Kid Jr<\/strong> &#8211; Members who were involved last year, please report to Mrs. Hackman&#8217;s room during 9th period on today, for a brief meeting. New 7th and 8th grade students that are interested in joining Kid to Kid, the first meeting will be after school\u00a0on Thursday, September 18th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Hackman or Mrs. Snow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mathcounts Club &#8211; <\/strong>will begin on Thursday, September 18. Stop by Mrs. Hummell&#8217;s room 507 for a list of meeting dates and more information. If you like solving math problems and puzzles, this is the club for you!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Multicultural Club<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0Celebrate diversity by learning about and sharing traditions, cultures, and perspectives from around the world\u00a0on Thursdays starting September 18th.\u00a0Together, we will build understanding, respect, and unity within our school community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No Place for Hate Club<\/strong> &#8211; No Place for hate is looking for new\u00a0club members who would like to help make Eyer a place\u00a0where everyone is welcome and valued.\u00a0\u00a0You are invited to join us at our first meeting of the year on\u00a0September\u00a016th.\u00a0 We will meet after school in Sra. Kannenberg&#8217;s\u00a0room (621).\u00a0 Please arrange to be picked up by 4pm.\u00a0 or sign up for the late bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Painting Club <\/strong>&#8211; The Eyer Painting Club is looking for students interested in helping create a large mural on our school walls! \ud83c\udfa8 The club will meet on Tuesdays after school. If you\u2019d like to join, please see Mr. Willett in Room 222.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Walking Club<\/strong> &#8211; The Eyer Walking Club starts on September 9th! \ud83d\udeb6\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83d\udeb6 Stop by the Main Office to sign up and pick up a permission slip to walk off campus. The club will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays to start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Writer\u2019s Club <\/strong>&#8211; If you are interested in joining Writer&#8217;s club, it is starting on Tuesday, September 9th in room 635. If you have questions please contact Ms Glowacki in room 635. Looking forward to seeing you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RECURRING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Late Bus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chromebooks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they\u2019re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lost &amp; Found<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Weis4School Rewards Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis.
