It is Day 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junior high competition cheerleading team won 1st place at their competition at Southern Lehigh this past weekend.&nbsp; Congratulations to a team who has worked so hard this year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PAWS Pretzel Day <\/strong>&#8211; The December PAWS Pretzel Day will take place this week on December 11th. Students can purchase a soft pretzel for $1 during 9th Period. Proceeds from PAWS Pretzel Days help fund the PAWS School-Wide Positive Behavior Support incentives at Eyer throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student Council 10 Days of Winter Spirit <\/strong>&#8211; Starting Monday, we\u2019re kicking off our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastpennsd.org\/eyer\/article\/the-ten-days-of-winter-spirit\/\">10 Day of Winter Spirit<\/a> sponsored by the Eyer Student Council and we\u2019d love to see everyone join in. Let\u2019s bring some festive cheer to the hallways and have a little fun as we head into the winter season. We can\u2019t wait to see how the students and staff members embrace each theme day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Wednesday &#8211; 12\/10<\/strong> \u2013 <em>Grinch Day: Wear Green or Something Grinchy<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thursday &#8211; 12\/11<\/strong> \u2013 <em>Unique as a Snowflake: Dress your own unique way<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Friday &#8211; 12\/12<\/strong> \u2013 <em>Comfy Friday: Wear your favorite hoodie and crazy socks<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Middle School Girls Lacrosse<\/strong> <strong>Opportunities<\/strong> &#8211; Discover the excitement of MS girls Lacrosse!\u00a0 Whether you&#8217;re brand new to the sport or already have experience, our program offers a fast-paced environment where players can build skills, make friends, and grow their confidence.\u00a0 The Emmaus HS and MS coaches are offering 2 opportunities to learn the sport and develop your skills as we prepare for the upcoming spring season. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed\u2014your generosity truly makes a difference and is greatly appreciated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Snow Glow &#8211;<\/strong> The Snow Glow, a casual dance and activity night, will take place this Friday, December 12th, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunches this week. All proceeds will support the Eyer Angel Network.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Snow Glow&nbsp;Angel Network Pantry Restock Raffle<\/strong> &#8211; Students attending the Snow Glow can join a Gift Card Raffle for Amazon or Nike to help restock the Eyer Angel Network Food Pantry. To participate, students can bring non-perishable food item(s) (pasta, rice, peanut butter, jelly, canned veggies, beans, mac and cheese, etc.) to the dance. Each donated item earns a student one raffle ticket. Thank you for continuing to support the mission of the Eyer Angel Network!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Winter Band &amp; Orchestra Concert<\/strong> &#8211; Don\u2019t miss the Eyer Winter Band &amp; Orchestra Concert on Wednesday, December 17th at 7 PM in the Eyer Auditorium! Come celebrate the talent and hard work of our students, all families and the public are welcome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PAWS Cookie Day &#8211; <\/strong>The December PAWS Cookie Day will be held on December 18th. Students wearing GREEN, GOLD, Eyer attire, or the Spirit Day Attire of a Flannel will be rewarded with a cookie of their choice during lunch. PAWS Cookie Day is a long-standing Eyer tradition, fully supported by donations from our school community. This hands-on session will give students the chance to explore key concepts in a meaningful, guided setting. Participants will build simple circuits and investigate how electricity and magnetism interact. Students who would like to attend can sign up in the Library.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6th Grade Drama Club<\/strong> &#8211; Want to boost your confidence, learn acting skills, and have a blast? Join the 6th Grade Drama Club! No experience is required, just bring your energy and excitement. You\u2019ll make friends, discover your inner star, and get ready for future theatre opportunities. Drama Club meets in room 503 on Thursdays. Drama Club: Where 6th graders become STARS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chess Club<\/strong> &#8211;  Join us if you love chess and want to play or learn how to.&nbsp; All levels welcome! We will meet on Thursdays&nbsp;after school in room 650.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Crochet Club <\/strong>\u2013 Students interested in learning the art of crochet in a fun, welcoming space can do so after school on Tuesdays in room 610. Whether you\u2019re a beginner or already know a few stitches, you\u2019ll create projects you can be proud of. To join, pick up a permission slip in the Guidance Office. We are always accepting fiber donations if any family has yarn to spare. Donations could be brought to the Main Office.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Four Square Club<\/strong> &#8211; The Eyer Four Square Club will begin meeting after school on Thursdays. Spaces are limited, so be sure to sign up with Mrs. Gaines in the Main Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mathcounts Club<\/strong> \u2013 Mathcounts is a national middle school program that makes math engaging and fun through enrichment, coaching, and competitions. Students interested in participating should stop by Mrs. Hummell\u2019s Room 507 for meeting dates and more details. If you enjoy solving math problems and puzzles, working on a team, and competing while building new skills, this is the club for you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Multicultural Club<\/strong> \u2013 Celebrate diversity by learning about and sharing traditions, cultures, and perspectives from around the world on Thursdays in room 111<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reading Olympics Team<\/strong> &#8211; Love to read? Want to discuss books and play some fun trivia games? Then you should join the Reading Olympics Club! We meet two or three times a month and will be preparing for a regional competition at the end of the school year. You can read as much or as little as you like, so come on and get in on the fun! Ready to join? Sign up outside Room 636.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Walking Club<\/strong> &#8211; \ud83d\udeb6\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83d\udeb6 Stop by the Main Office to sign up and pick up a permission slip to walk off campus. The club will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>RECURRING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chromebooks<\/strong> &#8211; Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they\u2019re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Late Bus<\/strong> The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lost &amp; Found<\/strong> &#8211; There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Weis4School Rewards Program<\/strong> &#8211; The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis.
