Eyer’s Mental Health Awareness Spirit Week<\/a><\/strong>-Eyer Middle School is celebrating Mental Health Awareness Spirit Week from May 26th\u201329th! Join us as we focus on kindness, wellness, positivity, and school spirit throughout the week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wear your pajamas on Tuesday 5\/26<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wear green or athletic gear on Wednesday 5\/27<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wear yellow or something that makes you smile on Thursday 5\/28<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wear school spirit wear or bright colors on Friday 5\/29<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s work together to support one another and spread positivity around our school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kid to Kid will meet after school on this Thursday, May 21st<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talent Show<\/strong>– Thank you to all of you who auditioned for this year’s talent show.\u00a0 Eyer is definitely in for a treat with all of this year’s talented students performing! Unless you heard\u00a0otherwise from Mrs. Hastie or Mrs. Knecht, your act made it into the talent show.\u00a0 The talent show is on Friday, June 5th during the school day.\u00a0 We will have 2 mandatory dress rehearsals on Tuesday, June 2nd and Thursday, June 4th after school until 5 pm.\u00a0 Please make sure you have costumes, are prepared to perform, and arrange for a ride home on these days.\u00a0 If for some reason you are\u00a0unable to attend either dress\u00a0rehearsal, please see Mrs. Knecht or Mrs. Hastie ASAP.\u00a0 Thank you!

It’s that time of year again! Time for Treehugger nominations. <\/strong>The Treehugger Award is given to the faculty or staff member that shows and promotes being the most environmentally conscious.  This is the only award given to an adult, and the only award nominated by students. It only takes a moment to let me know why the person you are nominating  deserves this most prestigious award.  Please stop by the main office and pick up a nomination sheet. All nominations due by June 5th. Thank you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FINAL cookie day will be Friday, May 29th!<\/strong> In order for us to be successful and make sure all students wearing school colors receive a cookie, we need your help. Please sign up to donate a minimum of 2 dozen store bought<\/strong> cookies.<\/a> Sugar cookies with icing and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies have always been the biggest hit among the students! WE ALSO HAVE A VENMO OPTION <\/strong>making it easy to donate. Venmo @Eyer-Connection<\/strong> for cash donations. Please label the donation as ‘Cookie Day’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EPSD Summer Relocation Form \u2013 <\/strong>Any current Eyer family planning to move over the summer should have their student stop by the School Counseling Office to pick up an EPSD Relocation Form. Completed forms should be returned to the Eyer School Counseling Office as soon as possible. This step is essential to ensure your child\u2019s educational records are transferred promptly and accurately to their new school. Call 610-965-1605 if you have any questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EPSD Fall Sports Sign Ups <\/strong>\u2013 Is your student interested in Fall Sports? Any student athlete interested in joining a 2026 EPSD Fall Sports Team must complete the EPSD 2026 Fall Sports Google Form<\/a> by June 1st. For additional information, including requirements for physical examinations and the required IMPACT Testing please visit the EPSD Athletics Website<\/a>. Questions about athletics or the process should be directed to the EHS Athletics Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boys Basketball Open Gym \u2013 <\/strong>Any male student-athlete currently in 6th or 7th grade who is interested in trying out for the 26\u201327 Eyer Boys Basketball Team is invited to participate in upcoming Eyer Boys Basketball Team Open Gym sessions. The open gym sessions will take place from 2:45PM through 4:30 PM on May 28. Students who plan to participate must pick up an EPSD Intramural Activities Consent Form in the Eyer Main Office. A completed form must be brought with the student athlete to each session. Students are not permitted to participate in an open gym without a completed EPSD Intramural Activities Consent Form. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eyer Agenda Book Sponsors <\/strong>\u2013 The cost to produce Student Agenda Books continues to be significantly higher than years past. In an effort to prevent this increase from taking away from other critical student focused work we are seeking sponsorships in order to defer the significant cost increase. Any local business that is interested in supporting Eyer in the production of our 26-27 Student Agenda Books can complete the following26-27 Eyer Agenda Book Sponsor Form<\/a> and help us to ensure that these critical time management tools continue to remain in the hands of our students. Stuff the Truck Fundraiser <\/strong>\u2013 <\/a>The Eyer Angel Network is hosting a Stuff the Truck Fundraiser on Saturday, May 23rd from 10 AM to 12 PM. We encourage all Eyer families to come out and support this wonderful cause! Donations of the following items are greatly appreciated: clothing, shoes, blankets, bed sheets, curtains, towels, pillows, comforters, and stuffed animals. Camelot for Children Summer Camp Volunteers<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Looking for a meaningful way to give back this summer? Camelot for Children, a local organization that provides free camp experiences for children and young adults with intellectual and\/or medical disabilities, is seeking volunteers for their upcoming summer camps. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to make a real difference in the lives of campers who may not otherwise have access to traditional camp experiences. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to participate. Additional information can be found via the link in the heading. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EHS Cheerleading Summer Camp<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 The Emmaus High School Cheerleading program is hosting a Youth Summer Cheer Camp from June 15th through the 19th for student athletes in grades 1 to 8. Additional details can be found via the link in the heading. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EPSD Education Foundation 8th Grade Yard Signs<\/strong><\/a>\u2013  Last call for 8th grade yard signs! The East Penn Education Foundation is offering personalized yard signs to celebrate your 8th grader\u2019s transition from Eyer Middle School to Emmaus High School, but the deadline to order is May 12th, so don\u2019t wait! SteelStacks Sensory Friendly Film Series<\/strong><\/a>\u2013 The Sensory Friendly Family Film Series returns to Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas from May 13th through August 19th with all screenings being FREE to attend! The Sensory Friendly Family Film Series is designed to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for all families. Talking, walking, and stimming are permitted, the lights are dimmed but remain on, film volume is lowered, and previews are skipped. Families with special dietary needs are also welcome to bring their own food. Interested families should reserve their free tickets via the link above and an image with the full schedule can be found via the following Sensory Friendly Family Film Series Graphic<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Math 24<\/strong>\u2013 We meet us every Tuesday in Room 632. It\u2019s a great chance to sharpen your math skills, challenge yourself, and have fun with friends. All skill levels are welcome\u2014come give it a try!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Homework Club- <\/strong>Homework Club meets after school Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Bealer\u2019s room, room 115. Come and get your homework done in a quiet place from 2:30 \u2013 4pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Sign up on the sign up sheet outside of Mrs. Bealer\u2019s room, room 115, and Mrs. Ervin\u2019s room, room 633.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6th Grade Drama Club<\/strong> \u2013 Want to boost your confidence, learn acting skills, and have a blast? Join the 6th Grade Drama Club! No experience is required, just bring your energy and excitement. You\u2019ll make friends, discover your inner star, and get ready for future theatre opportunities. Drama Club meets in room 503 on Thursdays. Drama Club: Where 6th graders become STARS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chess Club<\/strong> \u2013 Join us if you love chess and want to play or learn how to.  All levels welcome! We will meet on Thursdays after school in room 650.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four Square Club<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Eyer Four Square Club meets after school on Thursdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading Olympics Team<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Love to read? Want to discuss books and play some fun trivia games? Then you should join the Reading Olympics Club! We meet two or three times a month and will be preparing for a regional competition at the end of the school year. You can read as much or as little as you like, so come on and get in on the fun! Ready to join? Sign up outside Room 636.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RECURRING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chromebooks<\/strong> \u2013 Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they\u2019re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late Bus<\/strong> The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lost & Found<\/strong> \u2013 There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weis4School Rewards Program<\/strong> \u2013 The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis. Eyer families can register their existing Weis Rewards Card to benefit our school by following the link below.<\/a> Please consider taking these simple steps to help support programming for our students!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
