It is Tuesday, September 15th. It is Day 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students interested in STEM are invited to join Mr. Solano in the Library on October 9 during 9th Period for <em>Exploring the Moon: From Telescopes to Apollo<\/em>. Gary G. DeLeo, Emeritus Professor of Physics at Lehigh University, will explore how our understanding of the Moon evolved through telescopic observations, robotic missions, and the historic Apollo program. Students will discover how these groundbreaking achievements paved the way for today\u2019s Artemis missions and humanity\u2019s return to the Moon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Clubs:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Chess Club-<\/strong>Join the Chess Club! We meet twice a month on Thursdays after school. Interested students can sign up at POD 5 outside room 650. We will have our first session on Sept 17th. Please contact Mrs. Mendez for any questions. Space is limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Multicultural Club<\/strong>&#8211; Multicultural Club starts on Thursday, September 24th in room 111. Please pick up a permission slip in guidance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udeb6 Join the Wellness Walking Club! \ud83c\udf3f<\/strong>Looking for a fun way to get moving, take a break, and connect with others? Join our Wellness Walking Club! All students are welcome\u2014come walk, chat, and enjoy some fresh air. No experience or special pace required! We walk through Macungie and end at Macungie park for a rest, then back to Eyer. Come join us and take a step toward wellness! Please stop by main office for a permission slip to be filled out by parent\/Guardian as we walk off campus. Return to Mrs. Batz in the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong> PAWSitive Representative<\/strong>&#8211; Interested in being a PAWS representative? Being a PAWSitive role model and working PAWS events in the building? Stop by the main office and fill out an application. Return back to main office by September 11th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Join Four Square Club-<\/strong>Four Square Club will take place on Thursdays. We&#8217;ll meet in the cafeteria and play outside or inside, weather permitting. Please stop by the main office to sign up with Mrs. Gaines. The first day for Four Square Club will be Thursday, September 17th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Join Scrapbooking Club<\/strong>-Love being creative, making memories, or just trying something new? Come join us for Scrapbooking Club Tuesdays after school! We\u2019ll create fun pages, share ideas, and turn your favorite memories into something special. Stop by the Guidance Office for more information!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Crochet\/Knit Club<\/strong>-Come and get Creative. Interested in crocheting and or knitting? Join the club. Crochet \/ Knit club will start September 17th. Please come sign up in the main office with Mrs. Batz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No Place for Hate Club<\/strong>&#8211; No Place for Hate is a club that welcomes all students. Our goal is to make Eyer a place where are valued and respected. We are looking for new club members this school year. Please considering joining us for our first meeting in room 621, Sra. Kannenberg&#8217;s room in the World Language pod after school on September 24th. Snack will be provided. Sign up for the late bus or arrange to be picked up by 4pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mathcounts Club<\/strong>-The first meeting of the Eyer Mathcounts Club will be on Tuesday, September 15 after school in Room 515. If you&#8217;re interested, see Mrs. Hummell or message her for a list of meeting dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ski and Snowboard Club<\/strong>&#8211; It&#8217;s never too early to start thinking about winter snow sports. The Eyer Ski and Snowboard Club will take 4 trips to Blue Mountain Resort this January and February. If you are a skier or snowboarder or if you want to learn how to ski or snowboard, see Ms. Berndt in room 104 during homeroom or 9th period for information. There is room for only 50 students in the club and the club fills up fast so get your packet of information today!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Special Art Club Attention:<\/strong> Eyer Middle School has 2 Art Clubs. Painting Club and Clay Club. Painting Club will take place after school on a Tuesday and Clay Club will be on Thursdays. At this time, you may sign up for only one club. If interested, please see Mr. Willett in room 222.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jazz Band-<\/strong>Jazz Band is a performance group that plays Jazz Music. Instruments in a Jazz Band are: Saxophones, Trumpets, Trombones, Baritones, Tuba, Drum Set, Piano, Bass, and Electric Guitar. Students interested in playing drum set, piano, bass, or guitar must have experience on those instruments, must take private lessons on those instruments, and must audition to be in the group. Rehearsals are mostly Tuesdays after school until 4:00 p.m. September 29 through early May. If you are interested in being a member of the Jazz Band, please go to the band room (room 316) to read the information and put your name on the sign-up sheet. You have through the end of the day on Thursday, September 10 to sign up. See Miss England with any questions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tap Club<\/strong> -Tab Club starts on Thursday Sept 10th in the Auditorium after school. Make sure to bring your tap shoes if you have them. If you don&#8217;t, that&#8217;s okay! Make sure to wear clothes and shoes you can move in. Next week, Tap Club will meet on Tuesday in the Auditorium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Drama Club<\/strong>&#8211; Drama club will meet on Thursdays in Mrs. Houck&#8217;s room, 503.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-a2188349-b1fb-422d-93a4-829c9d076129\"><strong>RECURRING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-b078be58-b5e8-46c6-9126-a46f6f16ebcd\"><strong>Chromebooks<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they\u2019re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-86e1693e-3c89-4160-8b61-cb7a46cbb7ac\"><strong>Late Bus<\/strong>&nbsp;The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-0764e7d0-9522-4e91-83b6-aaccb9491cd0\"><strong>Lost &amp; Found<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-92070cb2-0ff3-4cd4-a34f-54171a0f45a7\"><strong>Weis4School Rewards Program<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis.
