Our first cookie day will be Friday, September 25th!<\/strong> In order for us to be successful and make sure all students wearing school colors receive a cookie, we need your help. Please sign up to donate a minimum of 2 dozen store bought<\/strong> cookies. Sugar cookies with icing and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies have always been the biggest hit among the students! WE HAVE A VENMO OPTION <\/strong>making it easy to donate. Venmo @Eyer-Connection<\/strong> for cash donations. Please label the donation as ‘Cookie Day’. You may send in cookies with your child’s name the week of 9\/21 or drop them off at the office before 9am on Friday, 9\/25\/26. For reference, there are over 800 students. Please use our sign up sheet to let us know if you can contribute.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Students interested in STEM are invited to join Mr. Solano in the Library on October 9 during 9th Period for Exploring the Moon: From Telescopes to Apollo<\/em>. Gary G. DeLeo, Emeritus Professor of Physics at Lehigh University, will explore how our understanding of the Moon evolved through telescopic observations, robotic missions, and the historic Apollo program. Students will discover how these groundbreaking achievements paved the way for today\u2019s Artemis missions and humanity\u2019s return to the Moon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eyer Art Department is proud to announce the 12th annual Peace Poster Contest. We are looking for students to create a poster that symbolizes “Peace”. The first place winner will receive $100. If you are interested in submitting your artwork, please see Mr. Willett in room 222.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Boy’s Basketball- The Eyer students in grades 7-8 interested in trying out for the boys’ basketball team are invited to attend\u00a0open gym\u00a0on Thursday, 10\/22 and Thursday, 11\/5 from 2:35-4:30 pm. Please complete the\u00a0intramural consent form<\/a>, found in the Eyer Main Office, and bring it with you on 10\/22. Students who do not have a completed form will not be allowed to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chess Club-<\/strong>Join the Chess Club! We meet twice a month on Thursdays after school. Interested students can sign up at POD 5 outside room 650. Please contact Mrs. Mendez for any questions. Space is limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Reading Olympics<\/strong> – Reading Olympics starts this Thursday, September 24th at 2:30 in room 636. If you are interested in reading some great books, playing some trivia games and meeting a great group of students, please come out and join us. Any questions, please see Ms B in room 636. Signup is hanging outside of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Multicultural Club<\/strong>– Multicultural Club starts on Thursday, September 24th in room 111. Please pick up a permission slip in guidance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \ud83d\udeb6 Join the Wellness Walking Club! <\/strong>Looking for a fun way to get moving, take a break, and connect with others? Join our Wellness Walking Club! All students are welcome\u2014come walk, chat, and enjoy some fresh air. No experience or special pace required! We walk through Macungie and end at Macungie park for a rest, then back to Eyer. Come join us and take a step toward wellness! Please stop by main office for a permission slip to be filled out by parent\/Guardian as we walk off campus. Return to Mrs. Batz in the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Join Four Square Club-<\/strong>Four Square Club will take place on Thursdays. We’ll meet in the cafeteria and play outside or inside, weather permitting. Please stop by the main office to sign up with Mrs. Gaines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Join Scrapbooking Club<\/strong>– Love being creative, making memories, or just trying something new? Come join us for Scrapbooking Club Tuesdays after school! We\u2019ll create fun pages, share ideas, and turn your favorite memories into something special. Stop by the Guidance Office for more information!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Crochet\/Knit Club<\/strong>– Come and get Creative. Interested in crocheting and or knitting? Join the club. Crochet \/ Knit club will start September 17th. Please come sign up in the main office with Mrs. Batz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n No Place for Hate Club<\/strong>– No Place for Hate is a club that welcomes all students. Our goal is to make Eyer a place where are valued and respected. We are looking for new club members this school year. Please considering joining us for our first meeting in room 621, Sra. Kannenberg’s room in the World Language pod after school on September 24th. Snack will be provided. Sign up for the late bus or arrange to be picked up by 4pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Special Art Club Attention:<\/strong> Eyer Middle School has 2 Art Clubs. Painting Club and Clay Club. Painting Club will take place after school on a Tuesday and Clay Club will be on Thursdays. At this time, you may sign up for only one club. If interested, please see Mr. Willett in room 222.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tap Club<\/strong> -The next tap club meeting will be on Thursday, September 24th in the auditorium after school. Tap club tshirt order forms are available below the signup sheets in the Pod 4 hallway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Drama Club<\/strong>– Drama club will meet today in the auditorium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n RECURRING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Chromebooks<\/strong> \u2013 Students should develop a consistent routine to charge their Chromebooks every night to ensure they\u2019re prepared for class each day. Creating a plan, such as designating a specific charging spot and setting a reminder before bedtime, can help make this habit stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Late Bus<\/strong> The after school late bus is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays only and you must sign up by 10:00 AM of the day you need to take it. The sign-up form is accessed via Clever on your Chromebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lost & Found<\/strong> \u2013 There are two places to look for lost and found items. The table in the commons is often where clothing, water bottles, and lunch boxes are placed. If there is something more valuable like eye glasses, jewelry, retainers, or earbuds, please check at the front desk in the Main Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Weis4School Rewards Program<\/strong> \u2013 The Weis4School Rewards Program allows schools to earn funds to support their programs when families shop at Weis.
