STA Health & Safety Protocols
PDE requires that we adjust transportation schedules and practices to create social distance between students.
Our buses can operate with a maximum of two students per seat, with the understanding that masks will be required of students while on the bus. All high-touch surfaces on buses will be disinfected at least daily. Bus drivers will also be required to wear face shields and/or masks when students enter/exit the bus. Drivers must wear a mask at all times when students are present, unless specifically prohibited by the bus company/school entity policy. (Bucks County Health Department, Dr. David Damsker)
For students utilizing district transportation: all students will be required to wear a cloth mask provided from home while on the bus/van. According to Governor’s orders on 7/1/2020, everyone shall wear a mask; a “face covering”, defined as: “covering of the nose and mouth that is secured to the head with ties, straps, or loops over the ears, or is wrapped around the lower face” while on district transportation.
Bus windows shall remain, open weather permitting, to allow for circulation of air.
