Positive COVID-19 Cases in the East Penn School District (Spanish Translation)
December 14, 2020
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Today, we have been notified of the following positive COVID-19 cases:
- Emmaus High School- An individual at Emmaus High School has tested positive for COVID-19. All students and staff who have been deemed a “close contact” will receive a separate correspondence from the Pennsylvania Department of Health with further guidance. East Penn will follow protocol as outlined in the EPSD Health and Safety Plan regarding a diagnosed positive COVID-19 case. Under these guidelines, all students and staff constituting as a “close contact” will be required to quarantine for at least 14 days.
- Emmaus High School– An individual at Emmaus High School has tested positive for COVID-19. The PA Department of Health has determined, based on the specific circumstances, that no further action is necessary for any students or staff. If the PA Department of Health determined that there was a risk of spread to students or staff, these individuals would have been directly contacted by the PA Department of Health.
- Lower Macungie Middle School- An individual at Lower Macungie Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19. The PA Department of Health has determined, based on the specific circumstances, that no further action is necessary for any students or staff. If the PA Department of Health determined that there was a risk of spread to students or staff, these individuals would have been directly contacted by the PA Department of Health.
- Jefferson Elementary School- An individual at Jefferson Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The PA Department of Health has determined, based on the specific circumstances, that no further action is necessary for any students or staff. If the PA Department of Health determined that there was a risk of spread to students or staff, these individuals would have been directly contacted by the PA Department of Health.
- Lincoln Elementary School- An individual at Lincoln Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The PA Department of Health has determined, based on the specific circumstances, that no further action is necessary for any students or staff. If the PA Department of Health determined that there was a risk of spread to students or staff, these individuals would have been directly contacted by the PA Department of Health.
- Shoemaker Elementary School- An individual at Shoemaker Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The PA Department of Health has determined, based on the specific circumstances, that no further action is necessary for any students or staff. If the PA Department of Health determined that there was a risk of spread to students or staff, these individuals would have been directly contacted by the PA Department of Health.
