As announced this morning by Governor Tom Wolf, the East Penn School District will be closed for the remainder of the 2019/2020 School Year. This decision was made to protect the health and safety of our students and community during the COVID-19 pandemic. While we have been preparing for this possible outcome for several weeks, news like this is never easy to hear.
In the best interest of our students, we move forward with our Continuity of Learning plan for the remainder of the school year. More details will follow as we work on the long-term planning and prioritization of events and activities impacted by today’s closure.
We continue to support our students and families in every way we can during the challenging weeks ahead. Now more than ever, our attention to the social and emotional well-being of our teachers, students, and families are extremely important. As we adjust to this new normal, we want to remind you of our counseling, nursing, and social services resources available on our COVID-19 Student Services Resource Page. We want you to know that we are only an email away to help you through this unprecedented time.
