Dear LMMS Families,
Thank you for your continued support over the past five weeks of remote learning at Lower Macungie Middle School. Our students and families have been persistent and resilient, and we are now looking forward to getting students back into our school to be face-to-face with our teachers and staff. Starting Monday, October 26th, our goal is to return our LMMS students back to our buildings for the hybrid model of learning, with an option for any student to remain fully remote or enrolled in their current VEsPA programming.
As a reminder, remote learners are those students who have chosen to participate in their classes entirely online from home, while hybrid learners have chosen to come into the school building 2-3 days per week for in-person instruction and participate from home on the other days.
Over the summer, you were sent a survey from the district asking for you to choose the best learning option for your child. Those responses have been analyzed and recorded, and the only reason you would need to fill out this new survey is if you CHANGED YOUR DECISION over the course of the past few weeks since the original survey was sent. Some families have already contacted the school to adjust their choice. If you have called or emailed about your updated change, this too has already been recorded, and you do not need to do anything further.
For those families who wish to make a change from their original submission, and have not already contacted the school, please click on the survey below and submit your updated information. The survey will be open from today through Monday, October 5th. Once the survey closes, your child’s designation will be secured and your next opportunity to request a change would be November 18th to begin on November 23rd.
We continue to work on ensuring that LMMS is a safe learning environment for our students’ return, and we are so excited to welcome them back the week of October 26th.
Reminder: Hybring/Remote Learning starting on October 26th will revert back to a 7:25 AM – 1:15 PM schedule. All students will still be expected to check-in to every period daily, and a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning will continue. Remote students will be learning alongside our hybrid learners and will follow the same schedule as listed below.
