A new state mandate enacted on January 2, 2013 requires that all school district employees who may come into contact with students during the course of their employment must, every five years, complete a three hour Child Abuse Recognition & Reporting (CARR) course.
Beginning July 1, 2014 you will be able to log onto the CARR online training site and take the mandatory three hour training course. Each Module takes approximately one hour to complete. The entire three hours do not need to be completed at one time. Each time you enter the site, your online training will pick up where you left off the last time you exited from the site. On the left hand side of the page you will find tabs for each module titled, Child Abuse 1, Child Abuse 2, and Child Abuse 3. You must use your district login credentials in order to take the online course. If you do not have a district issued email address, please contact Dr. Mirabella. Below you will find the link to the CARR online training site.
*** Do NOT use an iPad to view the videos, you will not be able to sign the signature page after each video
*** Do NOT use a Google Chromebook, there are known issues with videos playing
At the completion of the online training there will be a report generated for the district of all those employees who have successfully completed the course. You must complete all three modules, and SIGN each section electronically, to receive credit.
