Apple released the first iPod in 2001. It started as a media player (audio & video) but when iTunes was launched 8 months later things changed as apps were made available for the device. The iPod Touch is the only model iPod we recommend you consider for the BYOD program. Other devices are music players and will not allow you access to educational websites and applications.
What can an iPod do?
- Browse the Internet (Wif-fi)
- Take / view pictures and video
- Listen to music
- Read email
- Direct access to iTunes and hundreds of thousands of apps
