Since 2013, Lower Macungie Township has employed crossing guards for Willow Lane Elementary School. East Penn partnered with Lower Macungie Township to share the financial costs associated with this program. Recently, Lower Macungie Township notified the school district that the Township will no longer be able to maintain the crossing guards as employees.
Recognizing the importance of providing all student walkers with safe routes to school, the East Penn School District is considering a volunteer crossing guard program for Willow Lane Elementary similar to the volunteer program that currently exists in the Borough of Emmaus.
We are seeking volunteers who would be interested in partnering with East Penn to support the students and families of Willow Lane Elementary. Below is a summary of the volunteer commitment:
Monday through Friday following the EPSD school calendar, approximately 8:30 AM-9:10 AM and 3:05 PM-3:45 PM (please identify the specific days of the week that you are available)

LMT Fire Station driveway & Mill Creek
Mill Creek & Sauerkraut
Sauterne & Sauerkraut
Willow & Sauerkraut
