Dear Alburtis Families,
We want to remind all families of important procedures regarding dismissal to ensure the safety of every student.
If your child’s method of dismissal changes for any reason, please send a note to school with your child. The note should include:
*Your child’s name
*The way they will go home for the day
Please note:
*Due to the busy nature of dismissal time, we cannot change a student’s dismissal method after 2:30 PM.
*If an adult arrives at school or in the car rider line who is not recognized by our staff or not listed on your child’s emergency contact list, we will not release your child until we have contacted you.
*We will also request to see photo identification from any adult picking up a child who is not recognized.
*Car rider parents: Please remember to place your child’s name on a piece of paper and clearly display it on your dashboard. This helps us ensure a smooth and efficient car rider dismissal flow.
These procedures are in place to ensure that all students are dismissed safely. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep all Alburtis Eagles safe.
Warm regards,
Dr. Cheryl Scalzo

Dear Alburtis Families,
I wanted to take a moment to share some important safety and security reminders regarding walker and car rider dismissal time on the playground. Recently, we have seen an increase in student injuries and non-SOAR behaviors occurring during this time.
To help ensure all students can safely and smoothly transition home, the playground will now be closed until 4:00 PM each day. This change will allow staff to focus on student dismissal and safety. Students are welcome to return to the playground after 4:00 PM.
Additionally, as many of you know, I am a dog lover! However, for everyone’s safety, I want to kindly remind families that all dogs must be leashed and under control at dismissal and recess times. We have had a few instances where dogs have become reactive toward other dogs or students, and we want to prevent any accidents or unsafe situations.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to ensure the safety and well-being of all our Alburtis Eagles.
Warm regards,
Dr. Cheryl Scalzo
