Macungie kindergarten registration will be held on March 15. Click here for complete kindergarten registration information.
This is just a reminder that we continue to hold outdoor recess during the winter months – weather permitting. As long as the real-feel temperature remains above 25◦ F, students will be taken outside.
Please make sure that your child is dressed to be outside for playtime.
We appreciate your cooperation!
Yearbooks for the 2015-2016 school year are now on sale – If you order by Friday, January 15th, the cost of the yearbook is only $15.00. An early purchase also ensures that your child receives a yearbook since we do not plan on ordering extra copies this year to keep the price lower for our families, and avoid spending money on un-purchased materials. Prices will increase after January 15th and again after April 1st – so shop early!
There are two options to order:
– Go online to www.schoolannual.com and click on “Buy Your Student’s Yearbook” at the top of the page. Search for Macungie Elementary in the search bar, then click “Shop the Collection”. Next, click on “2016 Yearbook” and finally “Yearbook”.
Dear Macungie Elementary Parents, Teachers and Staff Members,
I wanted to personally thank all of the wonderful teachers and staff at Macungie Elementary for giving their time on Saturday morning at our Holiday Shop. We had over 30 teachers and staff members volunteer at the Pancake Breakfast and Holiday Shop!!! I was totally floored by how many staff members signed up and worked so hard for hours on end to make this event successful on their day off. We would not have been able to hold such an amazing event without their commitment.
I would also like to thank all the parent volunteers and Macungie Custodial Staff, especially Nate Swavely, who were there to help setup, run and break down the Holiday Shop. We could not have had such a successful event without your help and donations!
Also, we were blown away by all of the families who came out to support the Holidays Shop and have Breakfast served by their teachers. It was so much fun for the students to be there for a special time and some teachers brought along their children who we were all so happy to meet.
I feel like this event does show how much school spirit we have at Macungie Elementary. It was just a great community day for us all
Lastly, but certainly not least, I would like to thank Mrs. Yencho, our new amazing Principal, for all of her support and hard work, before and during the event. I don’t believe this type of event would have been possible without her support and encouragement.
Thank you again!
Kassie Rainford and the Macungie PTC Board Members
