June 10, 2015 – Last Day of School
– This is a regular day for staff.

– 11:00 AM dismissal for MS and HS – No lunch served
– 12:00 PM dismissal for Elementary (including full-day and AM kindergarten- AM kindergarten students will be dismissed at 12:00 PM on the bus that transported them to school)
– No lunch served


Due to the newly amended Act 153 legislation, all existing volunteers are required to obtain new clearances every 36 months. A volunteer is an adult serving in an unpaid position in which they are individually responsible for the welfare of a child or have “direct contact with children” (care, supervision, guidance or control of children, or routine interaction with children).


On July 1, 2015, volunteers with clearances older than 36 months will be removed from the District’s Volunteer Listing, unless updated clearances are received by that date. (NOTE: Anyone with clearances prior to January 1, 2015, will still need to complete the new Affidavit even if their clearances are within 36 months). To be included on the listing, volunteers are responsible for bringing updated clearances, Pennsylvania Criminal History Record (Act 34) and the Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), to the Human Resources Office and are required to sign the Volunteer Affidavit. PLEASE NOTE: if you have not been a resident of the state of Pennsylvania for 10 years, you will not be able to sign the Volunteer Affidavit, and instead will be required to complete the FBI Federal Criminal History Check (Act 114).  This is in addition to the Pennsylvania Criminal History Record (Act 34) and the Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151).
