Dear Families,
As we close the chapter on another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to say thank you for being such an important part of our school community.
This year was filled with wonderful adventures, learning milestones, big laughs, and moments that turned into lifelong memories. From the first day jitters to field trips, assemblies, celebrations, and all the little moments in between — we grew together. Your children have shown growth not only academically, but also socially and emotionally, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.
Thank you for your partnership, your trust, and for cheering us on every step of the way.
We wish you a fun, safe, and relaxing summer. Don’t forget to read a little, practice those math facts, and most importantly — make time for joy, exploration, and connection.
We can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings. Until then, be well and enjoy every moment!
Warmly,
Dr. Cheryl A. Scalzo
Principal

12:00 Dismissal today, Tuesday, June 10, 2025… We made it!
Dear Families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the last day of school—though if your children are anything like mine, they’ve been counting down since April (or was it February?).
As I reflect on this year, I’m filled with gratitude, pride, and a little disbelief at just how much our students have grown. They've tackled new math concepts, dived into books, crafted stories, explored science, and maybe even figured out which end of the recorder is supposed to face up (a journey in itself).
But even more importantly, they've grown as people. They've learned how to work together, resolve conflicts, express emotions (without shouting—usually!), and support one another. Watching their social and emotional development has been one of the greatest joys of this year. They’ve become kind, curious, resilient learners, and I couldn’t be more proud.
This year was packed with unforgettable moments—from class celebrations to art shows, science fairs to spirit weeks. Thank you for all the support, snacks, and last-minute costume rescues (we saw you hot-gluing that cardboard spaceship at midnight). We truly couldn’t have done it without our incredible families.
As we head into summer, I hope it’s full of sunshine, laughter, scraped knees from outdoor adventures, and way too many popsicles. Just a little reminder (because I’m a teacher and a principal, I can’t help it)—keep reading, and sprinkle in some math facts practice! Think of it as brain sunscreen: helps prevent summer slide. 😎📚➕
Wishing you a joyful, safe, and memory-filled break. Thank you again for sharing your amazing children with us this year.
With all my appreciation and a bit of sunscreen in my hair,
Dr. Cheryl A. Scalzo
P.S. If anyone figures out how to keep kids from saying “I’m bored” on Day 2 of summer, please share.
