Dear Alburtis Families,
In light of today’s situation at Emmaus High School, I wanted to take a moment to connect with our families and remind everyone about an important safety resource available to our entire community — Safe2Say Something.
Safe2Say Something is a statewide school safety program created by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General that allows students, parents, staff, and community members to anonymously report safety concerns. The goal of the program is simple but incredibly important: if you see something concerning, say something, so trained professionals can step in early and help keep everyone safe.
Many times students hear or see things before adults do — whether it’s something said at school, in a text message, or posted on social media. Safe2Say gives them a safe and anonymous way to report concerns so that school officials and law enforcement can review the information and respond appropriately.
Families and students should consider using Safe2Say if they become aware of situations such as:
• Threats toward a school or individual
• Concerning social media posts
• Bullying or harassment
• A student who may be struggling emotionally or talking about self-harm
• Suspicious or unsafe behavior involving students or schools
Reports can be made 24 hours a day in three ways:
• Call 1-844-SAF2SAY (1-844-723-2729)
• Visit www.safe2saypa.org
• Submit a report through the Safe2Say Something app
Once a report is submitted, it is reviewed by a trained crisis center team and shared with the appropriate school administrators and, when necessary, local law enforcement so that the concern can be investigated and addressed quickly.
As a school community, we all play a role in keeping our students safe. I encourage you to take a few minutes this evening to talk with your child about the importance of speaking up if something doesn’t feel right. Reporting a concern is not about getting someone in trouble — it is about helping others and preventing situations from escalating.
Thank you for your continued partnership in helping us maintain a safe, supportive environment for all students.
With appreciation,
Dr. Cheryl Scalzo, Principal

Hello Alburtis Families,
I am reaching out to share a few very important safety reminders. As you can appreciate, safely welcoming 385 children into our school each morning requires all stakeholders to follow the established procedures and protocols.
We are very fortunate to have an extremely supportive police presence that assists us each morning and afternoon by directing traffic. We also have a very dedicated custodian, Mr. Allan, who helps manage the flow of traffic to ensure a safe arrival for all students.
Car Drop-Off Reminder:
All parents using the car drop-off area must adhere to the posted speed limit and remain alert for children and families who are pedestrians and have the right of way.
Morning Office Visits Before 9:00 AM:
If you are bringing your child to school and need to conduct business in the main office prior to 9:00 AM, you are required to use on-street parking and the designated crosswalk to enter the building.
Please remember that only school buses are permitted to enter the bus loop between 8:30 and 9:00 AM.
Late Arrivals:
If you arrive late, please slow down and proceed safely. Whether you are one minute late or five minutes late, you are still late. Speeding to the front door creates a dangerous situation for our students and families and will not be tolerated.
Your children's safety is our number one priority, and we appreciate your partnership in following these procedures to keep our Alburtis community safe.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.
